And when both titles release within a couple weeks of one another after about ten solid months of hype, the conversation is going to hit a fever pitch. So we wanted to know: BF3 or MW3?
Well, maybe it wasn't surprising given our readership but DICE's Battlefield 3 was the winner in terms of overall quality. We gave both games the same score (9.0) because we believe the single-player campaign in BF3 has the edge, while the multiplayer in MW3 is a little better. As for you guys, it seemed like a pretty clear result, although a significant percentage said they were disappointed by both games, despite the crazy hype.
This week, after more than a few readers have said they'd like a PSX Extreme t-shirt, we've decided to ask: would you be willing to pick one up? Obviously, it wouldn't cost a ridiculous amount; we could make some up if enough people were interested. In the meantime, you can always grab a virtual PlayStation Home t-shirt for free. 🙂 The next show is on the way, too, so stay tuned.

I don't mind buying a t-shirt, provided that I like the design. Some of those shirts and jackets from the Bioware Store make me drool. LOL

Yes, I'm swing for a black or dark blue shirt.
Just make sure they're the the heavier material one, and not the flimsier ones that some company's try to pawn off with a cheaper price.

While your checking around for making up some PSX shirts, maybe you could also ask them about PSX baseball caps too.

Both games are good in their own right. Depends on what your looking for – the more realistic game or the one that reminds us we are playing a video game. BF3 was good only because of the realism, but that campaign took me about an hour and a half less than MW3', and the ending left me scratching my head wondering why they just ended the game when it started to pick up in terms of action. It ended and I was frustrated.

It was such a poor choice to have you play the very end of the game at the very beginning, it added nothing but another 10 minutes to the game and left me knowing exactly what was going to happen and completely ruined it for me! Good thing this generation is all hyped up on the MP it's the only thing that saves BF3 for me. Don't get me wrong though I may complain about how the story ended but the gameplay was absolutely great! I do love BF3, maybe just not as much as the poll suggests.
MW3 had the best campaign in the series, and once again left my jaw dropped as I was caught up in the action sequences. And the MP is as good as ever and the minor improvements keep the mp feeling to some extent fresh. Needless to say MW3 accomplished what it set out to: attract millions, supply endless amounts of gameplay that's accessible and entertaining!

What did everyone think about BFBC2 muiltiplayer than the story? My friend said the story was cheesy over the top.

Not that I would say MW3 is better – just very different.
Loving both games – these will be my online play for some time to come. (as well as the occasional Medal of Honor and Homefront session)
even patcher could of predicted that one!
i was really surprised with MW3, i thought it was going to have a really rushed, confusing story like 2 did but the campaign and story were actually allot better.

BF3 started off so well, but the later you get into the campaign the more of a COD rip off it feels.
the first few missions were exactly what you would expect from a BF game, but after that it just turns into COD.
why oh why?
im still really pissed they lied to us!
they promised all this time that the PC version was the lead platform, then the game comes out and they say oh BTW we lied the PC was not the lead platform the ps3 was.

destruction has been toned down so much, and graphics wise theres heaps of games on PC that blow it into the middle of last year!
i had massive expectations for BF3, and as usual i was let down.
all we got was a COD wannabe with crappy graphics, and unbelievably bad destruction.
i REALLY hope DICE dont do a BC game next, they need a break from shooters.
they need to sit back and go do ME2, then sit back and see how far they have strayed from there pack.
BC was such a awesome game, a typical DICE game exactly what you would expect from them!
then BC2 came out and was half BC, and half COD.
now this comes out and is a 10th MoH which you would expect, which it should be, and the rest COD.
DICE need to stop trying to copy COD, otherwise all there going to do is drive their fans away.
i can see them becoming the next $E!
I've had BF3 since D1 and just decided to pick up MW3 2 days ago and after playing them BF3 still wins on MP for me.
Also I would love to buy a shirt.

I woul buy a PSX-E t-shirt, but then I am from the UK so I imagine shipping prices would complicate things.
MW3 is getting really boring now. Im glad i didnt get suckered in buying elite. Im at lev 74 and its starting to wear out on me. Too much been there done that. All the weapons sound the same. Same old callsigns. Same lame noob quickscoping. Same immature kids with modded clan tags ( on the 360 ) Handguns are useless. Half got same stats. Just cosmetic differences. 44mag same damage as a five seven?? Any real gun enthusiast like myself here see anything wrong here? (scratches head in confusion).
Same lag and you think all the money craptivision has they could afford dedicated servers?? Even with the re-vamped perk and strike/care packages mw3 feels like 2. MW3 saving grace is the SP campaign it was pretty fun but i clocked it at 6 1/2 hours. Survival is decent but ive yet to matchmake with others online. I ask myself how long can this COD phenomenon last. Its fun for a while but it eventually gets old. Am i the only one who feels this way?? (scratches head again)
Same with me, It is getting boring already, even playing with my friends, they are also starting to get bored. I guess I'm just getting burnt on CoD.
I'm 1st Prestige, level 69.
If it gets boring why do u guys prestige in the first place? To me their's no point of Prestige mode cause people hack/mod and really no point of that crap. I only rank up all the way to Commander than after that I don't get serious about it anymore. Never played MW3 yet, no rush considering their is so many better games.

What do you think is the point in prestiging? It's to have goals while playing to keep things fresh, but it's not working very well. They put a lot of stuff in it so you can unlock it, and once you do. It's not very fun afterwards.
It's to extend the life of MP while playing, and there is nothing wrong with prestiging.
I'm 14th prestige in Black Ops, and 1st in MW3, If I actually have enough time and don't get very bored I'm going to make it to the last prestige, it's something to do, and just because someone hacks to get the final prestige doesn't mean others do, you can even tell by the stats they have as well, and you can immediately tell that they hacked to get it.
My point about it, I think it's stupid, u lose everything just to start over with a different emblem. Deep down that's why Activision wants u to be hooked in their game. I mean 60 bucks for COD is a joke + all DLC and this Elite thing pointless. Gamers who like variety would not want to pay for this. Just my opinion.
I guess it's the friends who push u futher into the COD games. I guess that's another reason why prestige mode is their.
U should take the time and play other better games instead, I guess once u like FPS games alot it's hard to move away.

I don't "Only" play CoD, I don't know how you came to that conclusion.
You can keep a weapon of choice, you use a prestige token to carry a weapon through the Prestiges, it increases class slots which will come in handy, because you'll have more weapons to use for certain situations, I've had games where I would think; "Damn! I wish I had this weapon right now, it would come in handy!"
And that's your opinion, I don't think it is. And like I said multiple times, I don't pay for anything, not even the maps, I get them off of friends, I don't like Elite, and don't care for it, I don't like paying for services so that's out of the question not going to happen.
I like variety, why do you think I play all kinds of games? I don't just play one game and say F that game. I don't only play FPS games, I play Action Adventure, RPG games, MMORPG, sometimes board games and others, not just FPS games.
Just because I play CoD once in awhile doesn't mean I only play that Specific game, and hate on other games because it's not like CoD. I don't want other developers to copy CoD, it's a bad move, CoD is NOT the cream of the crop of FPS games, and that's my opinion, I only play it with friends, that's it. It's all it's good for.
I'm not buying anymore CoD games, I'm putting it towards more better games that actually care about the fanbase of players, MW3 still has problems, they didn't even optimize it that well for PS3, exclusivity of maps for xbox is fine, but making a crappy port for PS3 is unacceptable with multiple people working on it, I'm basically done now for any more CoD games.

Just my opiniom on prestige mode is absurd.
I'm glad that u like variety of games it's just prestiging in Call of Duty games is a waste of extra time for me. After I reach Commander I just like to keep my weapons and hope a hacker doesn't f*** me up, hahaha.

That's understandable, I also regret doing it sometimes, but it makes the game go by faster for me. I level up quickly depending on how good I play.
And I hate hackers. >.< I'm also not one to defend the CoD games it has it's issues and I will call them out, "sometimes" they are fun to play.
I'm with bikersaint on this one. I'd love a PSXE t-shirt. However, it's got to be a good quality shirt. I'd rather pay $20 – $30 for a more durable heavy material shirt than $15 for a wispy fall apart in the wash shirt.
And far more than a t-shirt, I would love a nice PSXE polo shirt which I would proudly wear at work 🙂
yah their is crappy brands out there and tend to shrink after one wash or so even on the recommended wash setting.
