Square Enix is giving you plenty of incentive to do so: if you drop your deposit on the highly anticipated sequel, you will receive a steelbook case, downloadable content pack (details currently unknown), FFXIII – Episode I – Novella, and three lithograph art cards. Yep, all for free.
But there are two other options for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners. First up is the Crystal Edition, which boasts:
But if you're not willing to spring for that bad boy, there's a step lower that might intrigue you; it's the "regular" Limited Collector's Edition:
So yeah, the difference is that you don't get the t-shirt and the soundtrack isn't as complete. Just bear in mind that we don't have the prices just yet, so don't go making purchase decisions just yet. Still, it's obvious that Square Enix wants to give us plenty of cool extras, even if we only pre-order the standard edition.

Yeah, what can I do right? It looks to have a lot of what we were asking for last time and it's still Final Fantasy (sorta) so it's gonna be a good game no matter what.
Well the bottom line is that some people were sooo disgusted with FF 13 that they won't even give FF13 – 2 a chance.
There are so many improvements with FF13-2 over FF13 that its ridiculous. FF13-2 is the game that FF13 should have been. Granted, it's not the classic jrpg that we expected from square-enix but its worlds better than FF13. FF13 was so wrong in so many ways….
Yeah same here, I just pre-ordered mine from Amazon today.
Sadly, I never finished FF XIII. The first 3 hours didn't hold my attention long enough to see it through, and a couple of other big games came out around it so I finished those instead. As a fan of VII and VIII, I found it a little disappointing.
As cool as these Crystal and Ltd Editions look, I'm gonna pass until I finally finish FF XIII, THEN I'll pick up FF XIII-2.

Finish it, you'll enjoy the game just won't like it as a FF game.

So is this Europe only? Or is this releasing to the states. I have found no where else online by HMV.com that has this for reserves. I don't mind importing it, but if I can get it stateside I'll save the monies.
i absolutle hated FFXIII, Horible story, Horible battle system, i had to strugle to finish it cuz i didnt like it, only thing good about it was it had great graphics, not sure if ime get FFXIII-2 new or at the 10$ bin. We should expect more crap like FF XIII from SE now since every one keeps buying these action adventure FF games.
I don't see anywhere with Crystal Edition preorder…Does anyone have it available? What does that version cost? I only see the regular edition with extras at Amazon and Gamestop…
I believe this is wrong. If you go to the Square Enix North America site it does not say anywhere that you get the pre-order package or the crystal/collectors edition. You only get the preorder bonus from Amazon(Omega Boss), Gamestop(Serah Costume), and Best Buy(episode-i book). You do not get a pre-order package. In the Square Enix European site, that is where you get the pre-order package bonus or the collectors or crstal edition(which I heard is already sold out). So only Europe gets these special bonuses, while the rest of us have to decide where to buy our game. I could be wrong though. Does anyone have a direct link where it states a pre-order package for NA specifically?
