You know, when Sony said they'd be revising the PS3's internal architecture, I never imagined that the differences would be that vast. I figured that they'd just remove the PS2 hardware, which would leave a gap on the PS3's motherboard. Instead, quite a bit was added, removed, moved around, and even downsized. A NeoGAF poster by the name of Vaandaviii posted a GIF that compares the difference between the American PS3 motherboard and the newly launch European one. I've also included two static pics of each regions motherboard.
