Curses ‘N Chaos: An Arcade Throwback Coming Next Week

If you're old enough – or you're a student of video game history – you know which games come to mind when you hear this title:

Tribute Games has announced over at the PlayStation Blog that Curses 'N Chaos will launch on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 on August 18. The game supports Cross-Buy and Cross-Save.

Described as a "weird, hardcore, single-screen, fantasy, sci-fi mashup action game," this will undoubtedly dredge up some memories. Ghouls 'N Ghosts , anyone? A tribute to the days of side-scrolling action challenges, Curses 'N Chaos plays just like a classic arcade game that can be tackled solo or cooperatively. We get both "smooth controls and lightning quick responsiveness" along with a "huge arsenal of items."

The modern twist is Alchemy, where you can create new and better items in between levels. Yep, this is perfect for all you oldsters on a rainy day.
