Tales Of Hearts R Headed To Vita, PS TV On November 11

If you're a JRPG fanatic, you should probably own the PlayStation Vita. Or, you might want to nab PlayStation TV.

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Tales of Hearts R will launch for both Vita and PS TV on November 11 in the US.

Pre-ordering the game will net you a classic "Tales of" costume set with outfits that pay homage to a variety of previous series installments; this will be available as a digital bonus "while supplies last." There's also the Digital Limited Edition if you're interested. If you do opt for the DLE on PSN, you'll snag six great new costumes, but bear in mind that the Limited version will only be available until the end of November.

For those who really love the Tales IP, this is a no-brainer. And it might be more incentive to try out PS TV!

If 'Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core' was on download I'd probably actually buy the PS TV. I mean the PSP UMDs are pretty much redundant these days and I would much rather play it on the big screen. But I have so many PSN games on my UK and USA PSN account I will need to be able to access both accounts to actually get value out of the PS TV. I have yet to see one Vita title which has really made me feel the need buy the system either so I am just waiting for now.

It would be interesting to see how Crisis Core shows up. I did link it up to my TV with the wire once to play on the big screen and it looked horrible. Probably needs an HD update to play.

There are a number of games that need to be made digitally available. Crisis Core and MGS Portable Ops being the biggest two.

Portable Ops completely baffles me it is Canon and is the Branch between MGS3 and Peace Walker yet it wasn't in the HD collection and even more surprising it wasn't in Legacy collection. As of now it is only available on UMD and as someone with experience it is quite a difficult game to get a hold of.

As much as I love Metal Gear I have to say Portable Ops is a really bad game, Peace Walker blew it out of the water. But not just in gameplay, the story was rather naff with stupid characters like Ursilla, I like some super natural elements but she just seemed really silly. I didnt like Peace Walkers story much either, but it was a vast improvement.

"While supplies last." On a digital bonus? REALLY? That's just plain stupid.

Also I am excited for this game but WOW if anyone has seen the newly released gameplay there is some pretty poor localization. Instead of doing a simple translation the dialogue was "Westernized" and it really makes me wonder how the Japanese think we speak. At one part the female lead essentially calls the MC a Pervert Molester and they translated it as Rapscallion. XD

That is really stupid. I think they don't think we understand those Japanese situations. That's why I like NIS games, maybe they aren't big budget but they stick to the script well.

Why not just have it on PS3? I love Tales and am playing Xillia 2 right now (brilliant sequel) but I have no desire to play it on my little screen Vita. Spending $100 for TV? I dunno if I need it that bad.

Don't forget a memory card on top of the $100 TV. A 64GB costs more than the Vita TV itself. =S

Yeah I'm not a fan of Playstation's segmenting models of hardware and software that act as barriers to playing.
