Maybe 2K just wasn't ready to officially announce the date. Then again, maybe they suddenly realized the date was just plain unrealistic.

As cited by Duuro.net , 2K Germany took to Twitter and initially confirmed that the award-winning Borderlands 2 would launch on the PlayStation Vita on March 18, 2014. This would mean gamers everywhere could expect it around the same time, right?

Well, we're not sure. The Tweets concerning the release date (found at both @2KGermany and @2KInternational) have been removed. So, it seems the publisher really didn't plan on releasing the date, and maybe they're working on an official press release…? Or, was it just a slip-up on the part of their social media manager, or something? We've been waiting on the launch date for the Vita iteration for a while, so here's hoping mid-March is accurate.

You know, Gearbox is still releasing content for this game. That's what you call long-term support, huh?

Would be a good game for friends with vitas. I'll keep waiting for Phantasy Star though.

Man, I hope so but I seriously doubt it's coming. Breaks my heart, I'm an oooooold school Phantasy Star fan going back to the original for Sega Master System. I know the Online games are quite different but they've done a decent job preserving the art style and character classes from PS 2 and 4, which is very appealing to me.

Best support for a game ever. Better than most mmo's. They've done a great jpb. I think it's over though now with the latest piece of dlc which drops this month or has already.

I would much rather of had a borderlands game made from the ground up for vita.

I sure hope they did not suddenly decide to cancel it or anything.

sigh, another game which will take forever to finish releasing in a month with a bazillion other games.
and especially a vita game, watch 2K refusing future vita ports citing the poor sales of this.
well, geniuses, if you release a port on a less popular system, against brand new games like titanfall, thief, drive club, infamous second son, OF COURSE ITS GOING TO SELL WORSE!
jesus tap dancing christ!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of those games I just missed the first time around, despite being very interested. There's never enough time to play everything, y'know? And then they included it with PS Plus so I finally am giving it a try, and man, it's a lot of fun. I don't know if I'll by it again for Vita, but if there's some great cross save functionality and a low price point, it'll be tempting.
