Look, Han Solo is into portable gaming. Surprised?
Harrison Ford has been promoting the PlayStation Vita and Uncharted: Golden Abyss (he was Indiana Jones, too, remember?) in Japan, and that's…well, pretty cool.
Here's the cover of a special issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine, where Ford is holding the Vita and looking a trifle confused. Or maybe he's in awe; it's hard to tell.
This special issue of the magazine coincides with the Vita's launch, which is one week from tomorrow on December 17. Personally, I'd like to see more game-related behind-the-scenes stars promoting products, like Jaffe or Kojima or Christophe Balestra (Naughty Dog). Gamers would appreciate that, don't you think? I mean, not that Harrison Ford isn't useful for the Vita brand…I'm just saying.
We wonder if the Vita even needs Ford's mug in the Japanese advertising. Recent polls suggest gamers in the Land of the Rising Sun are already sold on the nifty handheld unit.
Awesome! but is he even known in Japan?

most likely since, indiana jones is quite a popular movie!!
Does he have any relations with Naughty Dog? Last time I saw him, he was promoting Uncharted 3 in Japan too. Guess I'm not surprised to see him promote Golden Abyss for the Vita as well.
If Nintendo will use Robin Williams for almost every 'Legend of Zelda' advertisement nowadays then I suppose Sony will ride Harrison Ford's 'Indiana Jones' legacy to promote 'Uncharted'.
Which celebrity will Microsoft hire to promote Halo?
Chuck Norris
Charlie Sheen.
Chuck Norris, like Mr T before him, is promoting World of Warcraft here on British TV.
Microsoft should just get Satan. He's the primary share-holder after all! ;-D
"For relaxing times, make it Vita time"
Yessss 🙂
I know! The look on his face is AFTER they told Harrison how much a memory card was going to run him. I got the same exact look on my face too. It's not awe…it's more like a complete state of shock.
LOL Excel
I imagine he also dropped the Vita when he heard you need to buy two of those ripoff memory cards from Sony, if he wanted to have an account for Indy and Han Solo LOL
The Japanese economy must be doing much better than I thought for the Japanese public to bend over for Sony this much…
How stupid is Sony!? If people are forced to go small on their memory card, it limits the amount of downloadable content they can purchased… What a mess. Is almost like the development and launch of Vita is being handle by Congress, what a Cluster F@#k!
I don't think Harrison gives a crap about a few hundred bucks XD
Lol, yes, Indie does look a bit confused, like, I can go home, now?
You people got it wrong! That smile means: Holy sh*t this baby is rockin. Or like: Seriously?!
Like you know the kinda smile you do when you are seeing something ridiculously amazing. Then you grin a lil and can't believe your eyes. I think he has it flawlessly lol
Thats the kind of face I did when I played with it.
And also… I don't know why but you keep coming back with the same old memory card crap all the time. Get original. Ok so the console as uber minor drawbacks like OMG dedicated memory card and OMG cant browse the web same time as playing a game. Dood cry me a river. The system is SICK the games look amazing and although I only played Uncharted, LBP and a faceRaiders rip off I can tell you it is THE BOMB. No other handheld on the market comes even close to the TIP of the bottom of its TOE skin!
But I guess you will understand me when you try it for yourself. There is a reason it is being praised by nearly every single dev out there.

I just think Harrison's look is one of realization that he played for so damned long he actually wet himself about 90 minutes ago.
Official PS Vita Games Montage…..
Oh wow how old Harrison is getting now.
Seeing this picture gave me the same kind of feeling I get when checking out the profile pictures of old school-mates on Facebook.
It's so depressing – they are all a bunch of really old, dull looking people. Many of them will be grandparents soon. It is uncomprehensive. What happened to the rest of the life!
And the worst part of it all is of course: I have to be just as old myself. I just can't see it when I look in the mirror.

I thought you were a young guy beamboom. The way you word yourself in discussions and whatnot. Mid 20s was my estimate.
Well thanks a bunch, Sawao! I'll live long on that remark for sure. Young spirited is a Good Thing. 🙂
Or… Hmmm… A young mind in an old body? Old but not wise? Oh no that sounded sad too! You really can't win against time. Here now, gone tomorrow, and that's that. Great. 🙁
