Okay, maybe this Duke will be well worth playing.
Surprisingly, Devolver Digital has announced a port of Duke Nukem 3D , which is scheduled for the PlayStation Vita. It was revealed via Twitter and it reminded us that, despite a terrible stumble , Duke Nukem is still a bad-ass.
It's called Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition and it's probably the same port that's currently available on Steam. That one features three extra DLC packs on top of the main campaign, but we don't know if all of that will be in the Vita iteration. The port is being handled by Abstraction Games, which is good news 'cuz they did the Vita port of Hotline Miami , and that came out very well. Please don't mess up Duke again! The game already exists so you shouldn't be able to muck it up too badly.
Not sure we can handle another disastrous console effort, though.

I got Duke 3D for my tablet just in case I had extra time and was horrified to find that I can't invert the Y axis. So it's useless. Hopefully this one doesn't do that.
Totally understand the need for y axis inversion. My brain's just wired that way.
UP is UP, DOWN is DOWN
@Killa: Not for aircraft mate. It's about pitching the nose of the craft.
I guess World and I are Top Guns. Lol
Yes we are, I haven't played a flying game in ages but I got the flightstick mentality in my head early. Pitch and yaw is the only thing that makes sense, if I'm going to look at the floor I tip my head over my axis, if I want to look at the sky I tip it backward on my axis.
anything to get more people playing on a vita
Come get some!
i LOVE teh original duke nukem (well its not the original as the original was a @d side scroller) but Im not gonn aplay it on a handheld… it runs just fine on my pc
ah sweet, this would be the perfect game to play in quick successions during lunch breaks!
wonder if all the original cheats will be in tact?
Hmmm. This could be entertaining. I think it's going to come down to the controls and cheat code options. Further research is needed before I purchase.
