Excellent news!
SCEE senior manager Shahid Ahmad has Tweeted a mini announcement, and it's for all you PlayStation Vita owners out there. Actually, it's also for those of you still considering a Vita purchase.
If you ask most people, the only big upcoming Vita title they're aware of is Killzone: Mercerary . But it seems we'll be able to add another to the list soon:
"Oh and there is an AMAZING big title coming to Vita. I can’t tell you anything about it, except that you are gonna be hooked for hours."
So what kind of game could hook us for hours? That's probably not a good question, though, as it's far too subjective; some might be hooked on something like Monster Hunter , while others will keep playing Gravity Rush until they're blue in the face (and that's not necessarily a bad thing). Any ideas on what the game will be? Or what type of game? Better yet, what do you want it to be? I want a great RPG, of course.
When I these days play the utterly fantastic Bioshock Infinite I can't help but ask myself how that Vita game would have turned out had they made it.
I know, right? Ken Levine seemed really impressed with the Vita and really into making it.
"Hooked for hours" doesn't really seem like it would be the first thought for a teaser about a Bioshock game though…
No no, it's guaranteed to not be the Bioshock game he's talking about. That train has long left the station.
Still, I wonder how it would have been…
I guess they're not talking about Tearaway, which for my money is the coolest looking Vita game on the horizon.
Wish more PSN games would make it to the Vita. Having Journey on my Vita would double my affection for the device in an instant.
They NEED to make Journey playable on Vita.
Pure genius idea. I'd buy that for a Dollar. Or Euro's since they don't take Dollars on the EU store. Still though, a great idea having Journey with us on our Journeys. Kablam!!! See what I did there? I'll grab my coat.
It's Gran Turismo Vita. I believe that GT6 will release on the PS3, PS4 and Vita because Gran Turismo can sell consoles.
I think you're probably closest to getting it right, with the GT stuff being talked up a lot over the last couple of weeks for whichever consoles the next one is out on, why not the Vita too.
Maybe it's something Gran Turismo or Infamous related.
What big Vita game would I want eventually?
God of War, Infamous, Ratchet, a better Assassin's Creed, Sega's classic Model 2 and 3 arcade games, and a PSN port of Suikoden II.
Right now that sounds real good to me.
I've been really enjoying my Vita.
It's a perfect mobile gaming companion to my other stationary platforms. I think those who feel it should release games more like a console, not that it couldn't ramp up a little games in respect to itself, are pretty much missing the point of what a unit like this is for, at least by my interests.
Please be Grand Theft Auto!! 😀 Maybe something like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories (Like Liberty and Vice City stories on PSP)? Or maybe Grand Theft Auto IV Stories (Vita can handle those graphics)? Or, and this is me in my own dream world here, Grand Theft Auto V (Stories or something along those lines)?
That honestly would be a dream come true. I'm really hoping you're right on that.
If no one knew about GTA: San Andreas Stories…and it comes out on VITA right besides GTA V – that would be the sickest ever.
please don't let it be a fishing game…
lol
I have heard rumors of a inFamous game for the Vita, developed by a studio other than SP.
yo with this announcement and my soul sacrifice waiting to be played my vita excitement is tingling
Borderlands 2!!!!!
It's Phantasy Star Online 2.

A PS Vita version of Skyrim would be so cool, but my gut is telling me…It's has to be GTA or Borderlands 2
eh, ill believe it when i see it!
no one is as good as hyping up a blade of grass as the second coming, so ill wait till we actually see a bit of the game thank you very much.
O, and this AMAZING game wouldent happen to be a game thats releasing on ps3 or even ps4 would it?
does not exactly help the vita when 99% of its biggest games are also available elsewhere.
An "Amazing Title" for what is currently an expensive paper weight. You're kidding right? It is to laugh.
