The name Persona is well known to role-playing aficionados. And if you're in that crowd and you've also got a PlayStation Vita, we've got a date to circle on your calendar.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Persona 4 Golden will go portable on November 20. This is the ultimate version of the award-winning Persona 4 , and the list of upgrades and additions is as follows; this is really a robust list:
— You can now sneak out at night when your uncle Dojima is out at work (which is frequent, as he’s a veteran police detective). Every conversation and event discovered during this time – heck, even the music that plays – is all new. Moreover, many areas, like Shiroku store in the shopping district, serve a different purpose after dark.
— You can get night jobs, on top of the clubs you might join after school, that allow you to further advance your character (not to mention roam the city at night without having to hope your uncle is out).
— The game now offers a Very Easy and Very Hard difficulty option (in addition to the existing Easy, Normal, and Hard settings).
— You can now easily speed through cutscenes and lengthy exchanges (maybe it’s your umpteenth playthrough?) by holding the Triangle button or by double tapping Start.
— Load times are ridiculously fast. Almost every load is approximately 3 seconds or less, whether PS Vita game card or PSN download.
— The fishing mini-game has been expanded to include new fish, many of which are exclusive to the evening, providing yet another layer of addiction and depth.
You know, even though Sony is obviously coming with some heavy hitters in the form of recognizable franchises, I still say the Vita needs to boast some niche experiences that are getting harder and harder to find on consoles. And that most certainly includes JRPGs. Therefore, I really think we need to see more of this…it's still coming for the PSP, by the way; remember Final Fantasy III ? That's the kind of thing I'm talking about.
Related Game(s): Persona 4 Golden
Hmmm, I remember already having a night job at the hospital where the nurse was totally hitting on my dude. I really wish this was playable on PS3.
Ooh man I really like the Skin for the PSV but the limited edition already sold out,. I have no clue what this game is about but if I can get my hands on the limited edition. I would so buy this. It seems as if theyre all sold out.
Persona 4 Golden solid gold premium edition
It's a JRPG about a dude in high school whom you navigate through various social relationships, classes, and activities while living a double life with some of your friends as set of chosen people who can summon various creatures called "Personas" that have different powers that you command through battles at a local hotspot for baddies that appears every night at midnight.
The social relationships help you create stronger personas as you fuse them together.
Yeah I believed it sold out the first day. I got mine preordered the minute it became available.
That actually seems interesting, World.
cLoudou, 1st day?? Man I really wanted it after I saw it. Mainly to cover the PSV.
I swear P4 and AC Liberation are tempting me……
If some developers started making good, old fashion RPG's and JRPG's on Vita I might buy a Vita earlier than expected… or wait if they somehow PORT the game to PS3! That's plausible, right?
If you've got a Fatty you can just play the PS2 version.
My fatty died a few months ago and didn't play PS2 games and I think my PS2 has problems with the lenses 'cause it turns on but it makes a strange sound when it tries to read the games… 🙁
Can't wait to have this game on the go! One of my favourite RPGs last gen. Well, any SMT game tends to be good, with Digital Devil Saga being one of my favouritesas well! I haven't finished it but the story so far is incredible!
I told myself that I am no longer buying any new game until I finish my ridiculously huge backlog of games. The only exception would by Person 4 Golden, Okami HD, Assassin's Creed III + Liberation, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (the Cross Buy promotion definitely won me over).
Yah I'm gonna buy those games as well day 1 😉 Pretty much my list of must buys. Battle Royale we for sure have to play online together!

We do need to! I don't play a lot of fighting games but I am really looking forward to PSASBR. I'll need to make sure to be at least proficient with one character before going online. Can't be someone's punching bag. Haha!
haha ah well I'm not really good at those games anyways! I always get rocked in Super Smash Brothers! I'll probably be big fail going online for the first time 😉
That's something for us to see. I bet we will be betting as to who will be losing most of the time. Hahaha!
Why the heck was there only 10,000 for the premium edition ? I don't have a vita but I would have bought that day 1. Anyways if you guys are waiting for P5 then get P4 Arena since its a prequel for P5 where the cast of P3 and P4 are teaming up against P2's villain.

I… um… you basically spoiled the game… not cool…
P4A? Nope its just speculation of what might happen in P5. I did not spoil what happen in P4A.
You didn't state it as speculation but as fact so it's easily misunderstood. :/
Im sorry but why do all JRPGs look like kids to me. Every JRPG i even remotely interested in looks like kids games graphic wise. I think i stick to my WRPGs.
If you like Turn based RPG you should try the Persona Games (this one, and the ones for the psp, which are all on the PSN Store). They're very good games, and have tons of very mature and dark themes (especially Persona 3). Oh and the graphics are not kiddy, they have that Japanese Anime look going on.
Because they are usually based in Anime, which is most often focused on young people in colorful environments. You shouldn't let that fool you though, the good ones tackle all the big themes concerning the human experience, unlike WRPGs that tend to be good vs evil.
After playing the story mode of P4A, I really really can't wait for this… This game along with P3 FES and FF X were my favorite RPGs of the last gen.
