We like to follow Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter . He often posts things well worth Retweeting, as you'll see.
Take this, for instance: It seems one of the most esteemed and revered titles in the PlayStation stable will be receiving a remote play patch for the PlayStation Vita. That's right, high-def portable goodness!
Yoshida has been play-testing it and he's got the photo (seen here) to prove it. Here's the Tweet, too:
"Sorry to tease you, I was play testing ICO HD Remote Play on PS Vita. We are almost ready with a patch. Beautiful on OLED. More info soon."
Oh, don't sorry; we're not mad about the tease. Heck, this is as good as an official announcement as far as most are concerned and besides, we're talking about ICO ! If you don't already have it on the PS2 or as part of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection , you might just want to play it on the Vita when it becomes available. It's one of the most picturesque and memorable adventures ever, and you'll see why…
Related Game(s): ICO
I see you are getting into the twitter of late.
Sony really should have designed the Vita to just run all this stuff so it doesn't need patches, including PS1 games.
Unfortunately there are hackers abound. Without them I am sure everything would be playable on the Vita. They don't want another PSP leaky ship that could sink Sony. Also, there is probably a lot of licensing issues at play too.

It's just remote play though, you'd have to have bought the game for it to work anyway.
Yeah, it must be done. Lota Twitter.
True, good point, not sure why the Remote Play option is such a difficult one to implement. Especially now that we know it can be done. I always thought there was some sort of Vita limitation and it was to choppy. I guess we'll see which games become compatible. Just seeing ICO and SotC Collection on the Vita really makes me happy for the future of Remote Play.
Well this is good news. I was under the impression that remote play was possible before buying my Vita. Shadow of the Colossus should work as well when the patch is released.
Hopefully this is a sign that patches for other games will be in the works soon.
The Vita does have Remote play already, but its the same remote play as the PSP.
This patch will be optimized for the Vita that will be faster and have much better picture quality.
meh.
really cant see the point in this, i mean if you are able to be tethered to your ps3 than you should be able to use it and not your vita.
plus the sound always comes out of the TV so its not like you can use it if someone else is watching TV.
so whats the point?
your saying no i wont play my game on a 40+" screen, ill play it on a 5" screen!
why!?
You are wrong, read on….
Check out the second paragraph:

As you can see this is a magnificent perk for Vita owners. I for one own the ICO and SotC Collection and would love to finish my play through of ICO on the Vita.
For you ___________, it's ok to give Sony some attaboys once in a while.
So now we are going to have PS1, Remote Play, Cross Controller, maybe PS2 compatibility later on down the road and Cross Play! Sounds like Sony needs a lot of attaboys.
Remote play can be done over the net if I recall.
@Crusader, really hope that's where we're headed, and soon. Sony can get Vita back in the fight but features like these are absolutely necessary for that to happen.
yup it can, i thought it required USB connection.
million dollar question is how much will it slow the network down?
interesting to try it out, apparently the patch for both the ICO collection and GOW is out now.
still stand by my whats the point statement though.
a cool feature none the less, but that said theres a bazillion and one more important areas $ony should be focusing on!
would be much better if they had ps3 games off it instead of HD classics.
some do work like KZ3 but not very well…….
as for the attaboys if $ony get ps2 games running on the vita ill buy them a freaking lambo!
thats how confident i am its never going to happen.
ps3 has trouble running most games natively let alone through the cross play channel!
