E3 2012: PlayStation All-Stars For Vita, Two New Characters

Great news for those anticipating PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale : It will boast cross-functionality between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita! Great news.

With more than 80% of PS3s and Vitas connected to the PlayStation Network (as announced by SCEA president Jack Tretton), such a feature should be awfully popular. Battle Royale will release for both PlayStation platforms later this year, and they showed off a round of gameplay on the stage. It looks like oodles of fun; it's fast-paced, colorful and appears to be pretty damn entertaining.

Furthermore, those in attendance at the show will be able to sample two new characters. Freshly unveiled during Sony's press conference, Battle Royale will also boast Nathan Drake from the revered Uncharted franchise and "Mr. Bubbles" from the acclaimed Bioshock series. …oh come on, you guys know who Mr. Bubbles is…he's the Big Daddy, remember? And he should be pretty freakin' powerful, even if we have to give the edge to Drake, just 'cuz he's an eternal bad-ass.
