If it's not a fake, that's one hell of a strong cover for the next Play UK magazine issue.
You can see it at this European source ; not only does the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III grace the cover, but there are a couple of juicy headlines:
"GTAV on Vita"
"Black Ops 2 Will Fail"
Furthermore, game names Crysis 3 , Dead Space 3 , and Metal Gear Rising can be seen on the top. To help verify the fact of the matter, the source links to Apple's digital distribution page , where the same cover can be seen. Now, none of this sounds particularly off the wall, although we're certainly interested to know who said this year's Call of Duty is going to "fail." Also, don't forget that Black Ops 2 hasn't been officially announced.
So maybe we're in store for a ton of news and announcements within the next month or so. GTAV on Vita would be huge…I'd still have to play that particular game on the PS3, though.
This is GTAV, should be made on the consoles not on Vita alone.
I think it just means Vita would also be getting GTAV on top of consoles. It would probably help push sales for the Vita.
okay I get it.
GTA is one of those games that make sense to be on VITA + PS3 cross play. It has probably 100+hours of gameplay. Imagine short games like COD that last 3-4 hours, you play on PS3 for 2 hours, cross play once on ps vita, then finish the game when you get home. You will never use the cross play function again for that game.
I don't think GTAV on vita is a big deal for PS3 owners. At least my personal opinion is I'll be playing it on my PS3. I wouldn't choose a hand held over my console any day.
But that's aside frol the point considering there are many Vita owners who will embrace the idea. Not to mention if there's that cross save deal, where you can take your game from the PS3 to Vita then thats a huge selling point. Just not for me.
Big fans might get both versions and take their save on the go.
That's what I pointed out at the end of my comment.

The PSP has had numerous GTA games on it, so I see no reason the Vita wouldn't be getting them too.
But with that said, I hope that any new GTA's will come out for both the Vita & the PS3 together.
GTAV on the vita would be so awesome. i love my vita and gta is just what it needs. i would be buying it for both systems, vita and ps3.
i could only hope that black ops 2 would fail as im tired of hearing about call of duty
"i could only hope that black ops 2 would fail as im tired of hearing about call of duty"
Poor you, cry some more.
I'm tired of seeing it too but you don't hear me complaining or hoping an entire series will fail because of it.
i fail to see how my one sentence is me crying about it. its my opinion and i really didnt got to much into it. also i dont come on here and bash call of duty all the time nor did i say i wanted the whole series to fail.
i would just like to see better games get recognition instead of a reskin every year.
I bet Blops2 will also be on Vita.
But we all know it'll be "best" for Xbox360 and KINECT during holiday ads. I'm sure the multimillion dollar contract has already been signed by Darth Kotick himself.
Anyway, while I wouldn't mind seeing CoD deflate in popularity if it does come to Vita I see that being a pretty huge thing for both Sony and Activision…not sure how it could "fail" that way.
do you think we'll have to wait 9 years to be able to purchase the dlc for the call of duty on vita like we do on ps3 and pc?
Black ops 2 will not fail the guy how said that should share what his smoking.
"who", "he's".
Sorry, I just had to. The itch where two strong.
Beamboom,
LOL
I got what he said too, but only after I used my secret agent decoder ring.
To be honest there's no way I would play GTA V on a such small screen when I have big hdtv and it would be disappointing to see GTAV on vita instead of side story or episodes like the ballad of gay tony and the lost and the damned.
Very much agree. I would too have preferred a new storyline in the Vita version, like the Stories versions on the PSP (they were excellent).
Why buy the Vita version when you can have the real deal on your TV.

Well just like the other PSP GTAs there will be a crowd for it just like any other game played on a 5inch screen –_–
And don't you think it is better to be able to continue your game on the go rather than just going through another storyline to comeback home and just resume a different story –_–
That's the whole point of the Vita… Continue your AAA home gaming on the go. And that 5inch screen is gorgeous btw 😛
Be better for the Vita version to be a spin-off than a direct port. I mean, sure it'd be good to be able to take the same game anywhere, but I think it'd be cool to play as a secondary character from the main campaign whose story intertwines with that of the main guy in GTA V, like the GTA IV expansions. It could be a different experience entirely, built to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Vita, while still being relevant to GTA V.
Neo_Aeon: The PSP GTAs had their own storylines. In the case of Vice City it was set a few years earlier than the original Vice City, so the city were a bit different and you could see buildings being under construction that later were built in VC and so forth, and that's what made them such gems. They were new stories with new personalities, set on familiar grounds.
I actually bought a PSP because of VC Stories. I will never buy a Vita because of a game that's also on the PS3.

Ah yeah I get your point. But I still like the fact that I will be able to continue my GTAV game on the go on my Vita to progress and hunt for trophies rather than play some kind of side story. Just opinions in the end. I prefer to continue what I started home and you prefer to start something new.
Let's hope that if GTA V is on Vita, you can get it bundled with the PS3 like Ruin. I wonder who it is that has said that BlOps 2 will fail. We already know that Crysis 3 is being unveiled next month, so fingers crossed for Dead Space 3 too. And I'm interested in more info on Rising, maybe.
I was just saying the other day how I would LOVE a GTA on the Vita Whether it's GTAV or some kind of spinoff, it doesn't matter. Day 1 purchase for me.
doubt GTAV will be on the vita.
maybe a spin off like chinatown wars or even the vice city and liberty city stories, R* has never released a console version on a handheld.
i seriously doubt GTAV would run on a vita, seeing the reveal trailer, some leaked screenshots and if the worlds really as big as the rumours say it is i seriously cant see it running on the vita!
as for the rest eh we already knew crysis 3 is coming thanks to EA, nice one guys!
we already knew dead space 3 was coming back at the beginning of the year, and well it does not take a brain surgeon to come to the conclusion that treyarch will release a sequel to their most successful game of all time!
id rather see a sequel to black ops to be honest then a new ip, its really got a interesting style i want to see more of it!
Wasn't there a rumor couple of months ago about gta vice city nights coming to vita..
Black ops 2 will not fail. It is a mathematical certainty.
;D
people won't just drop off the face of the earth or suddenly pick Medal of honor….lol.
If GTA V on Vita were to actually happen that'd be even better than the San Andreas Stories I've been hoping for. If it turns out to be real, the Vita is quickly becoming the only game system I may need for at least the next 5 years.
I really hope FutureShop does a promo like they did for MLB The Show. When you bought PS3 and Vita version you could get both for 79.99 or something. That would be interesting for GTAV
GameStop's doing a sale right now on the Vita….
Pick a Vita, then pick a FREE game(Wipeout, Hot Shots Golf, or Mod Nation Racers), & also get a FREE case with it.
Oh please, BlOps2 failing? The bro gamers and "Rated M for 'Mommy & Daddy bought it for me'" 13 year olds will eat that rehashed shit up.
I think this was on NeoGAF as an April Fools joke.
Vice City was always my fav GTA mainly bc of tha story and tha music. I hope Vice City Nights is perceived the same way or close. As for GTAV, unless the story is better than the last few, it probably won't be any better than IV. Oh, and CoD:BO won't fail, but it will prob be the last one for a while bc ppl are starting to get tired of shooters finally it seems. which is no big surprise really since they've been the big thing for the past 4 years. It all began with Resistance ending their franchise too. Don't get me wrong, they'll still put the shooters out, but gamer's focus will be on a different genre very soon I think. RPGs never really left us, they just became open world and ppl are starting to lose interest in those too. We need some smart dude to think up a new genre before puzzle games or strategy games become the new sensation. I know it seems impossible to think of something that's not there, but that's how we got lots of our most excellent games. We'd still be using candles for light if it weren't for someone thinking of a way to harness energy. What do you say in order not to say anything that's already been said?
