PSXE Vita Game Giveaway Winner Gets A Couple Freebies

Last week, we had our standard party in the PlayStation Home Community Theater to celebrate the arrival of the latest episode of the PSXE Show.

There were a ton of people around for most of the night (big update day in Home), and all of them were registered in our random drawing for a chance to win two PlayStation Vita games. The winner would be able to select from a handful of titles that I currently have available.

And the winner is:

Andrew B. aka Serakek

He has chosen Army Corps of Hell and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as his two games, and we'll be shipping those out soon. The Vita launches tomorrow so we figured people needed some extra software to go with their fancy new portable, especially considering the prices involved. Many of the people who registered said they just couldn't afford to pay for many games when purchasing the system (a few even said they would only be able to get the unit). Gotta get a memory card, too, after all.

Anyway, stay tuned for the next episode and the next giveaway. 🙂

Score. Unfortunately, my $5 box from Taco Bell didn't win me nothing.

For me, I think it's their beef. I tell them to put steak in them instead. Doing this helps to stall the sick feeling and slight nausia that nearly invariably induces itself =p

That memory card thing is ridiculous, I can't believe sony wouldn't include even a 1 GB card.

None… maybe a handheld. consider – next gen = more expensive = more expensive to develop for = more competition against other consoles = better graphics = more reliance on games that involves graphics = no rpgs – to long to develop, won't appeal as much to north American audience as it would with the rest of the world… face it! Most gamers here are just obsessed with shooting others – I mean just think about the lines for every call of duty. EVERY year – how much can be sooo different about a game re-produced every year that warrants lines outside game store like that? Anyone remember such a line for an RPG?

If there is an RPG for next gen consoles then it'll be heavily graphically based – with awful or non-existing music (since that's art not "technology"… in terms of music PS3<<<<<<<<<<<< PS2 <<<< PS1 – ONLY in RPG music), low priority on script (since good writing takes time), character development (who cares about that if we can add violence and amazing violence… heck sexier characters now yahooo) and high on action. Face it, time for the traditional PS1/PS2 rpgs that we loved is long gone. Time of move on

God I feel old

I think Vita will be it, with multi-player games doing cross play on Vita/PS4.
