The Last Of Us Part II Is Getting Its Own State Of Play

Amid the less-than-enthusiastic players waiting to see The Last of Us Part II crash and burn, fans are waiting for it to actually release. The time has come to finally see actual, non-leaked gameplay as Sony aims to dedicate an entire State of Play later this week.

According to the official blog post, the current estimate is a bit over 20 minutes and will feature Neil Druckmann detailing the story and gameplay for us with a special preview of the game. It’s not clear how in-depth it will go, but for sure it won’t be as detailed as the spoilers plaguing the internet.

In that same vein as when they announced their last dedicated State of Play, Sony outright shutdown people theorizing there being any PS5 updates. This next SOP will be happening May 27 starting 4 PM ET, 1 PM PST and can be found on YouTube and Twitch.

The decision to host a The Last of Us Part II-focused State of Play comes off as odd, considering how much flack they continue to get from the gaming community for some of their decisions with the story and not-too-well-loved change of character. Nevertheless, it continues to come with a June 19 release date and this will be a large step to see what they plan on doing.

Even with the large spoilers out there, are you still going to pick yourself up a copy? Tell us below!
