We all were expecting the revival of an old IP, but while everyone was mumbling about first-parties finding new life, we totally missed the actual IP that’s being brought back from the dead. Stuntman: Hollywood, a new entry in the Stuntman series, which hasn’t seen a new game since 2007 has just been announced.
Developed by Saber Interactive, Stuntman: Hollywood, announced during the recent State of Play, continues the franchise staple of putting you in the driver’s seat of a stuntman shooting for films across a number of genres, following the directions of the film’s director. With it backed by Universal, it seems it Saber’s got a lot more ability to showcase stunts similar to ones you’d see in box office hits, with Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Miami Vice, and more directly cited on the PlayStation Blog.
Beyond the regular episodes, which include a number of levels across different cars complete with different stunts, there are also “B-Roll” episodes, which basically act as stunt arenas and filler films.
There’s currently no release date for Stuntman: Hollywood, but you can wishlist it.
