Despite the PS5 launch of Starfield not quite hitting the ground running in terms of optimization, though at least part of it is is fixed now, it reigns supreme in terms of game sales during its PlayStation launch week.

Circana’s Mat Piscatella reports on Bluesky that the game was the best-selling game of the week ending on April 11. Notably, this is the first time the game has topped US charts since launch back in 2023.

Considering Bethesda’s pivot away from PS5 following the Xbox acquisition, it isn’t too shocking that those who missed out on the game are wanting to pick it up to see what they missed, for better or worse. Luckily, the game got a major update — Free Lanes — to enrich the experience.

PSX Extreme‘s John Little got his hands on Starfield and enjoyed his time, but cautioned it isn’t a revolutionary experience, but rather iterative.
