Split Fiction Hits 2 Million Copies Sold In A Week

The newest hit from the devs of the 2021 GOTY winner It Takes Two has just hit a very impressive sales milestone not too long after launch.

The Josef Fares-directed Hazelight Studios launched their latest title Split Fiction just last week on March 6. A week later and they are able to make a huge announcement on their socials, particularly on Twitter: Split Fiction has sold two million copies.

Split Fiction got officially revealed at The Game Awards 2024 and recently launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. In this co-op adventure, a pair of upcoming writers join in a wild simulation in this mix of fantasy and sci-fi as they fight to reclaim their creations from the evil Dr. Rader.

Split Fiction’s newest sales milestone is coming off their previous record of selling one million copies just two days after launch. If you find yourself unable to purchase your own copy, you’re still in luck. Thanks to a friend system, the game allows a buyer to share their copy with a buddy.

So far, the EA-published title has earned stellar reviews. At this moment, Split Fiction has scored a 91% on Metacritic and a 8.9 user score. As more time goes on, fans will see how long this hot start continues for. Already, some fans on Reddit predict Split Fiction could be in contention for the next Game of the Year award. Though just as a friendly suggestion, maybe try pumping the breaks on this potential contention for now, considering how it’s only three months into the year.
