The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are off to good starts, and perhaps that is being reflected in the slew of new jobs available at Sony and Microsoft.
As noted by DualShockers , Sony Computer Entertainment America has opened up 13 new career opportunities for a wide variety of professionals. This adds to the 6 that were posted on December 12.
Since the North American launch of the PS4, SCEA has opened 46 total jobs, including several at Sony Santa Monica, a studio that is supposed to be working on multiple new titles. Microsoft had 31 new jobs posted last month and more are coming, which is a good sign. Overall, it appears as if the game industry is on the upswing – at long last – after the PS4 and Xbox One graced store shelves last month. Is there a job opening that catches your eye? Hope you're qualified.
Just imagine being able to work on the new God of War or something like that… It'd be soooo much fun.
i would love to but i dont relly have any relevant skills…now maybe if they neded catering i could help them there
Cool.
Man that first GoW Ascension boss is so awesome. And that END boss is just amazingly awesomely cool.
(…I think Dualshockers and PSXe love each other 😉
Haven't decided if I should force myself to play that disappointment all the way through or sell it. Hekatonkheires was awesome though.
list it on eBay for $15 with a FREE DmC bonus game disc added in. nah, scratch DMC (hurts value of everything) just offer free shipping instead.

No way that's leaving my collection, I think everyone scored it higher than Ascension 🙂
it may be unhealthy having high scoring games in your permanent collection World 😉

Leaving your collection?
GoWA is $10 on PSN for Ps+ users.
Only if it's ALL AAA games, that'd be like only watching summer blockbuster movies. Your brain would melt from the dumbed-down stupidity of it all. That'd be unhealthy for you.
so you saying TLoU and Bioshock are dumbed down idiot games?
While the end boss in GOW Ascension certainly LOOKED cool, in my opinion, it was almost entirely QT-based and could be beat pretty easily by keeping your eye open for the QT prompts (I played it on normal difficulty).
The controls of both of those games are pretty limited/dumb. Infinite could have learned a lot from Metro and The Last of Us could have learned a lot from I Am Alive.
I haven't played either. That just doesn't seem to be the general consensus. But that's cool. I like Double Dragon Neon a lot more than Journey. I also think Ratchet and Clank All 4 One has better graphics than most games.
Thats… not enough jobs. There is still room for more top shelf exclusives from Sony studios.
yea, fun, until you find out your game did not sell so well and the suits are shutting your studio down and your out of a job.
such a shame such a fun job has to have such poor job security, not to mention the constant work ethics complaints, the R*SD unpaid work and ridclious overtime for instance.
anyway, its great to see the new systems giving the industry a much needed boost, and a bloody nose to all those alarmasts saying dedicated game devices are dead.
hopefuly it stays that way, and does not turn into the monotonus grind the past few years have become.
I gave you an upvote because you said something positive "…its great to see…" and you weren't even being sarcastic.
OPTIMISIM!
I'll just turn a blind eye to your last line for now. Baby steps, I guess.
Well if they need an accountant I'm available. I think my current job has a bit more job security than anything entertainment related though.
Likely.
I'll never invest in technology. Often, then best companies to invest in are the boring ones… toothpaste… carboard box makers… utilities… that's where the money is. No joke!
HA! Take that you nay sayers. The most untapped branch of the art industry (imo) just got a positive headline!
yeah hard out ben unfortunately i'm in NZ so tough for me but maybe one of u if u've got the stuff cud give it a go.
happy gaming =)
