Black Flag Freedom Cry DLC Ready To Go On December 17

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a huge game. But it'll get even bigger in a few weeks.

According to the latest issue of Game Informer , Ubisoft will release a massive single-player downloadable content package called Freedom Cry on December 17.

This will add over four hours of additional gameplay, as players will step into the boots of shipmate assassin Adewale. The ad that Game Informer spotted features logos for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One, which suggests that this DLC will be available simultaneously for all platforms. The extra content has yet to be confirmed for the Wii U, and we're not sure when it'll arrive for PC. There's also no price attached just yet.

Even so, whenever single-player DLC comes out, I'm excited. Four more hours added to the campaign? As massive as Black Flag is (and it is indeed gargantuan), it's tough to turn that down.

Yes!!!! I have been playing this game a lot – and it is awesome! I have two more story sequences until I finish so this DLC comes at just the right time. I got sidetracked by all of the side missions and upgrading my ship (Destroyer – yes!).

4 more hours? Excellent.

How does the sound of the forrested areas? I loved Far Cry 3's jungle life. How does AC4 compare?

I have not played Far Cry 3, but overall I would say the jungles in AC4 are pretty quiet – they should be more "alive", IMO. I am playing on PS3, so I can't say if it's different in the PS4 version.

In any event, it doesn't seem to detract from the game, IMO.

I've been pretty much glued to black flag since I got my PS4 a couple weeks ago.
I think I'm in sequence 9, so I've only got 25% left, but it's definitely the best AC for the amount of stuff to do on the side.
The underwater diving in particular can be quite nerve-wracking with all those damned sharks swarming around you, only been eaten once so far.
Can't wait for this DLC, but I'm wondering whether it's worth it to get the season pass.

I agree with the above about the jungles. There is wildlife, but it's pretty sparse. The one exception is a couple of the swamps are quite packed with gators.

SP DLC?
releasing as the FIRST DLC pack for a game!?
wow, i think im going to faint!
now see ND, THIS is how you do it!
not release multiple MP packs, and make people wait 6+ months before you even say boo about the SP DLC!
hell they said it would be releasing late december/ early january, thats 2 or so weeks away, and we STILL know jack about it!
hope this gives more insight to the ending of AC3, im so obsessed with wondering around abstergo hacking all the PCs trying to piece together what happened to desmond and co.
its nice to have that sense of mystery back!
