Since the PlayStation 4 was announced in February, we've learned a lot more about the upcoming console. Some good, some not so good.
The PlayStation Plus requirement and the delay of Driveclub , along with rumored overheating issues, haven't helped the PS4 hype machine. However, the majority of our readers still say they actually want Sony's new console even more now.
Well, it's certainly true that anticipation rises the closer we get to launch, which is just around the corner. November 15 is the day and at that time, a great many excited new PS4 owners will be anxious to dive into the latest game machine. An agreeable price, a pretty decent design, a couple intriguing launch titles, the revamped controller, an overhauled UI; it's all very promising. I'm just so glad they didn't pull a Microsoft and force you to buy the Move with every PS4, thereby allowing Sony to charge $100 more (or whatever). That's just lame .
This week, after the release of Quantic Dream's latest ambitious title, Beyond: Two Souls , we want to know what you think. We said it wasn't quite the masterpiece that Heavy Rain was, but it remains a must-play for fans of great narratives, characters and cinematography. What do you say? Thrilled, disappointed or somewhere in between?
I was getting pretty excited until Driveclub and Watch Dogs were delayed in the same week. That kinda took the wind out of my sails but there's always Infamous: Second Son in February to look forward to. The only question left to answer is which game (that I'm not all that enthused for) do I pick up on the 15th!
Yeah me too.
The PS4 purchase is now delayed until Infamous in Feb. There's simply no games I really really want until then, so there's just no reason to get it anytime sooner.
I feel same way, will wait. Well good thing PS3 has a 10 year cycle/2016 for those who don't want to jump ship yet.. Then again the PS4 exclusives will be punching in.

Yeah I am totally the same.
While I am still excited to get my PS4 on launch day, the bad thing is that all the games I am getting aren't really 'next-gen'.
Battlefield 4, ACIV, and KZ:SF. MAYBE COD: Ghosts.
Watch Dogs really was the exact kind of 'next-gen' title I was hoping and waiting for, even though it is on current-gen consoles, the concept itself represents a next-generation of gaming to me. I was REALLY bummed out that it was delayed THAT long. I mean, inFamous and possibly Destiny will be out by then.
Pretty disappointed that 'Watch Dogs' was delayed, but I guess that just means I'll be getting 'Black Flag' right away after all. Otherwise, the PlayStation 4 remains only the second console I've been totally sold on hardware-wise (the first being it's immediate predecessor). Graphics have never been a selling point for me, so I'm looking forward to experience the next-generation jump in other technical areas.
As for 'Beyond: Two Souls', I'm actually already on my second playthru. I didn't want it to get lost amongst 'Arkham Origins', the director's cut of 'Human Revolution', 'The Stick of Truth' and all the next-generation holiday titles to be released. And I remain baffled by the relatively mixed reviews the game received. I admit my disappointment that the extra content which comes with the special edition is just a puzzle room instead of a proper story-fueled scene like the rest of the game. And I hope they release such content. But the main game itself still impresses. Especially the duality of Jodie as the fairly standard Quantic Dream protagonist and Aiden as a more action-based counterpart. Hopefully it sells well. It deserves to.

anemic launch lineup, high price tag, too late release, crap performance, fugly design, crap barely changed controller, and add on top the recent delays.
pretty disappointing to say the least!
as for beyond ive already said everything i have to say about it.
after the amazement that heavy rain was i was expecting SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more!
high price tag?
It's the cheapest Playstation console to launch in Australia's retail history.
Too late release?
I'm sorry, too late for what? Are you THAT impatient? The release date is perfectly fine.
Crap performance?
Oh, so you have spent a few weeks playing on a mass-production PS4 have you? No? Didn't think so. You are not qualified to comment on the performance of a product which you yourself haven't even had enough time with. Considering every developer who has spoken about the PS4, have been more than happy with it's performance, I'd say you have no idea what you're talking about.
just because its the cheapest in history does not mean its not overpriced.
sick of the ridiculous prices we have to pay for everything here, i mean when you can buy something overseas, pay extortionate shipping prices, pay customs tax, pay importing tax, and it still be significantly cheaper, you know your being ripped through the a$$!
releasing a good month or so later than the current gen versions is really going to hurt the sales of the games.
its funny EBs releasing ACIV on 21st for all platforms, even though the ps4 wont be available for 8 days and xbo 1 day.
whats the point of a game being available if its system is not?
and no i havent, but i have spent 4 years using a PC which will kick the ps4 round the corner, down the street, and crying back to mommy!
so excuse me for calling the performance crap especially after those leaked specs detailing a updated cell, 32 SPUs man that would of been a freaking beast!
Beyond had its problems, a mix of trying to make it more accessible, too much jumping around in the plot, and turning into a "select your ending" game were problematic.
However, it was still an amazing achievement both technically and emotionally, for any person with a little depth Beyond really tugs at your humanity.
Some folks said it was too linear and most decisions don't matter, that's not quite right. It's just that what you do has an immediate effect on the scenes and their chapter outcomes instead of what is available at the very end.
It's good Sony is not forcing us to buy the camera, cause honestly I don't see myself using that, maybe at some times.
Anyone who takes issue with the PS+ requirement is a moron. You get so much for so little it's not remotely the same as "paying to play". It's a steal with how stuff you get in a year.
I wish I could change my answer to last weeks poll, with Watch Dogs being delayed, my excitement level has taken a big hit.
Honestly, asking the question of "What did you think of Beyond?" on THIS website, is really going to be one sided ahaha.
Most of the people on the site are huge David Cage fans and would probably say it was amazing even if it wasn't. No offence guys.
I'm in the minority, but Beyond was SO disapointing to me.
