As reported by Gameinformer , Uppercut Games, a studio made up of ex-Bioshock developers, has revealed first-person Arabian-themed City of Brass, coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
In this fresh new game you will play in a procedurally-generated world that resembles something taken from the “One Thousand and One Arabian Nights” stories… or maybe Prince of Persia? You can check out the trailer below:
The gameplay definitely seems to borrow elements from the Bioshock series: some kind of dual-wielding character, check. Bizarrely beautiful visual presentation? Check, fast paced combat? Check
From what can be seen in the trailer, you will be able to use a variety of different melee weapons, including a whip that seems to be permanently mapped to the left hand, as well as projectiles. The whip also seems to have more than just one use, as the player in the video used it to fly into the air by using it on a rope with a ring on it.
The game is slated to be released in 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One and Fall 2017 for PC.
Personally, I don’t know what to make of it yet. Not really a fan of procedurally generated games, but these are ex-Bioshock developers we are talking about here, and they haven’t disappointed me in any game of that series.
What do you think? Yay or nay?

Game looks really interesting. I loved the Bioshock series, and some of the design elements in this look very similar. I also love the setting of this one. Definitely something I'll have to keep my eye on.
