During the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, we heard about an intriguing partnership between Bandai Namco and Capcom that would bring us some really cool crossover fighters.
The first of those crossovers, Street Fighter X Tekken , launched in 2012 and went over well with critics and gamers alike. Sadly, however, it seems we won't get the second crossover effort any time soon.
During a recent GameSpot interview , Tekken game director Katsuhiro Harada unfortunately confirmed that Tekken X Street Fighter is no longer in active development. Said Harada:
"When we develop fighting games, we try to keep the core community in mind as well as the wider audience that wants to play these games. But currently the situation is with fighting games, you have Street Fighter V that just released–a lot of people are playing that fervently–and there's a large crowd out there waiting or Tekken 7.
We don't want to split these communities, so a good window in which to release Tekken x Street Fighter is something that's become difficult recently. So it's on hold for the moment."
So, it's not like the game is gone forever but obviously, we have to wait. We never did get any gameplay for this project, so you'll just have to settle for the following concept trailer:

Shame, a real shame.
Boooo! You can't even give us a estimate?
Far too late already, this should have been a companion piece with Street Fighter X Tekken on PS3. Sure we could get a PS4 Remaster (…) but dragging this out now seems to just be a waste of time – Really disliked the Gem system in SFxT too.
