Naughty Dog has already explained several times why Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is Nathan Drake's final adventure .
And the team has been pretty candid about wanting to move on to other projects. Well, what would happen if Sony gave another developer a chance to create an installment in the award-winning franchise?
According to what director Neil Druckmann told GamesRadar , Naughty Dog would actually be okay with that, provided the studio in question maintained the "essence" of the series. He also said he expects his team to be a significant part of the process, even if they wouldn't be the lead designers:
"If they made a great game I'd be excited. I'd want to play an Uncharted I didn't work on. It'd be a lot of fun.
Obviously, we would have a big part in it as the creators of the franchise. We'd just want to make sure they get the essence of it right."
Thus far, all entries in the core Uncharted franchise have been developed by Naughty Dog, though Sony Bend handled Uncharted: Golden Abyss for Vita and Bluepoint Games produced last year's Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection . Thing is, Naughty Dog is head-and-shoulders ahead of any other developer right now, and I'd be loath to bring Uncharted to a new studio…no idea how that might work out.
I say put Uncharted aside for a while and when Naughty Dog is finally ready to return to it, it can come back.
Naughty Dog is being over rated by too many people. Once they branch out more, then we can see what they can really/actually do.
Well they branched off and made the Last of Us….
Haha I know what you're saying though.

No, just… no. Their track record in gaming is strong and long and doesn't just have 3 fantastic 9+ scoring Uncharted games to their name.
Even their spinoff racing combat games were quality.
crash, jak, uncharted, and the last of us. That is it. They themselves don't even view crash as valuable especially if you look towards the competition in racing games today.
I'm sorry, all they are is that uncharted, action adventure developer. Is it bad of me to ask whether they can do anything else before jumping on the band wagon? Because it looks like after this they are going to do TLOU2 or/and another jak installment.
I'm hoping for at least 2 new ip with each being a different genre.

How old are you? Crash is an institution from the PS1 days that people wax nostalgic about the way they do Mario.
What more do you really need? Most successful devs have 1 good franchise to their name.
You do realize that you're guaranteed to be painted into the same corner as the town fool talking like that right?
ND is responsible for flagship franchises like CRash Bandicoot, Jak and Dexter, Uncharted and the Last of Us. How many developers can claim flagship franchises on multiple platforms? How many can claim solid winners PS1, PS2 and PS3?
I don't think you should be blaming ND for what happened to Crash, they and Sony do not own the character, Activision does.
@TrueAssassin86x, that is actually funny you say that. I'll keep you guessing. You will figure it out eventually.
@WorldEndsWithMe, the oldest console I have ever played is sega genesis and super nintendo. I'm not saying they aren't successful. It is just that "head-and-shoulders ahead of any other developer right now" is a little too much for me. Both capcom, konami, square enix, etc.. have more than 1 title to their name btw. Speaking of which, we all need to go beg konami for suikoden and capcom for MML3.
@TheHighlander, nah I'm cool. I can take the heat. I'm just putting up my 2 cent. Everyone has a opinion. To answer the rest of your question, look above.
For God's sake let it rest.
Just no…
We don't need another mess like crash bandicoot titans.
Just let the series come to a graceful end.
Why spoil it?
Perhaps they can use a different character all together, and do some sort of spin-off. But please don't ruin what the main franchise spent so long building up.
I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog won't let that happen though.
It'll be very interesting to see what they work on next.
No just no. Let it die with Uncharted 4. It should have died with Uncharted 3 and the Ps3 but that was ruined
I'd buy a Chloe game with a more agile heroine and a solid team behind it with ND as overlords.

So would I. A chloe game would be awesome.
Personally I think that before Neil Druckmann makes comments about protecting Drake and Uncharted from other develoeprs, or maintaining the essense of the series, I think we need to see Uncharted 4 to see whether he and his cohort have made a new The Last of us starring Drake and Sully, or have actually made an Uncharted game.
I will rage across the internets if TLoU has that much influence over it, that game sucked.
While you are well within your rights to have not liked TLoU, to say that it sucked is just an objectively incorrect statement.
