Street Fighter V March Update Gets Full Details, Launch Date

Only a few more days!

Capcom has announced the release date and full details of the anticipated March update for Street Fighter V .

It will arrive in two parts; the first will drop on March 28 and feature the Challenge Mode, Trials, and online rematch option, along with improvements to the Battle Lounge and various bug fixes. The second part will release on March 30 and that will add Alex to the existing roster of fighters, as well as the in-game shop (that strangely wasn't available at the game's launch last month).

Interestingly, Zenny – the SFV currency – won't be incorporated into the March update, which would've caused a problem because Season Pass owners wouldn't have been able to automatically unlock Alex and additional costumes. So, Alex "will be available for free as a trial period to all players, until the Zenny shop launches." Furthermore:

"This also will apply to any future DLC character that releases prior to the Zenny shop launching. Once the Zenny shop launches, the free trial for any DLC characters that released prior to the Zenny shop opening will end, and players will need to either use Fight Money, Zenny, or the Season Pass to access those characters."

After the Zenny shop is up, Alex will cost 100,000 Fight Money and the character costumes will be 40,000 each. For more details on what the huge update adds and fixes, visit Capcom's blog through the link above.

Recently, we learned that Street Fighter V rage quitters will be severely punished , and thankfully, Capcom is considering adding an Arcade Mode . Do you think the game needs it? Some critics do.
