Time To Celebrate: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Has Gone Gold

Yes, it suffered several delays, including the most recent one that pushed the anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive into May .

But there will be no more.

Developer Naughty Dog has announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has finally gone gold, which means development is done and the discs are headed off to the manufacturers for mass production. The finalized date is May 10 and though it was originally slated to launch last fall, we know Naughty Dog will deliver only brilliane. And if it had to be delayed a few times in order to insure that brilliance, so be it. The team made the happy announcement on Twitter :

Game Director Neil Druckmann added his own Twitter update , showing off one of the first discs with the full Uncharted 4 adventure on it. Exciting, isn't it? We know this will be Nathan Drake's last hurrah and while we sadly bid the now-iconic PlayStation mascot a fond farewell, we know two things: 1. Drake will one day return (in some way) and 2. We can't wait to see where this award-winning franchise goes next!

By the way, if you haven't seen that amazing Story Trailer yet, the one Naughty Dog called the best trailer they've ever produced, then shame on you. But it's right here:
