Destiny’s Big “April Update” Dated, More Coming Via Twitch

The game just keeps getting bigger and better.

Another big update for the increasingly expansive Destiny has been dated and detailed by developer Bungie, which means fans will have more reasons to dive back into the fray next month.

Bungie breaks down the aptly named "April Update" (or Update 2.2.0) at their website and we first learn the date of its release: April 12. Players can expect new and updated gear, a new quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike, updates to the Sandbox and Crucible, and an increase to their maximum Light and rewards. The team tossed up an image as well (see it above), though besides reminding us of The Taken, we don't know much else about that pic. For more details, remember that Bungie will provide us with more info via Twitch livestreams over the next few weeks.

The livestreams will run on March 23, March 30 and April 6, and each show will begin at 11 a.m. PST. And yes, this latest update will be included if you're late to the party and have yet to purchase The Taken King, which released last fall.
