We've been waiting patiently since the awesome Red Dead Redemption launched back in 2010, and now we deserve some news.
Perhaps we'll get it at E3 2016. Cross your fingers and toes!
CEO Strauss Zelnick just told MCV (via VideoGamer ) that Take-Two Interactive – the parent company of Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar – that they will be at E3 "in a big way." Well, now that Grand Theft Auto V is available on every platform, and we've heard Take-Two say Red Dead is a very strong IP for them, it stands to reason that a new entry is in the works.
Right now, we know the company will bring us the likes of Mafia III (which may be out sooner rather than later this year) and the multiplayer shooter Battleborn . Aside from that, we don't have any official news concerning Rockstar's next huge project; at this point, it almost certainly isn't GTAVI and despite everyone pining for a new Bully or something like that, all signs point to Red Dead .
E3 2016 is in mid-June, so I'd strongly suggest paying close attention. Take-Two might just drop a big ol' Western bombshell on the crowd and if they do, there are gonna be lots of happy campers in that audience and around the world. I'll definitely be one of 'em. I still think they should do a prequel where John Marston starts out as part of the gang he leaves behind in RDR. What do you think?
I like Marston, he's a great character. But I would be okay with a new protagonist.
I'm hoping this shows up.

seeing how the last game ended, i highly doubt it will have marston. unless it's some kind of prequel
Of course, I was eluding to the point I wouldn't want a prequel.

I assume it'd be different since Revolver was a dif protag.
If it's a new Red Dead game then I'll be happy for all of you that have been waiting for years.
I tried the game for 60 min on PS plus years ago and I was very and I mean very bored so I am hoping that it's some new and fresh.
I burned out after getting into Mexico and realizing it's all a huge map of nothing set in the wrong time period using lame stereotypes.
In point of fact, those "lame stereotypes" were an absolute reality at that time in Mexico's history, especially in regards to the less developed areas (which was of course the focal point in that game).
While the map wasn't super populated there was tons to do. I think they found a good balance. If as a player all you are doing is following the story I could see how it would feel more empty.
Burnt out from what? Rockstar does a great job balancing story and open world exploration better than anyone. It started opening up around Mexico for me though.
lamely presented then.
Definitely looking forward to a new RD because Redemption ended up being my favorite game on PS3!
It way up on the list for me too. Probably right behind the Uncharteds.

Agent!
Vapor!
BAHHHHH. Manhunt! Bully!
Axe the Agent and shelf the Revolver.
I say make everyone happy & give us all 4 of them.
I know I want all 4, myself.
I loved the Western genre, but there were so few games made(or that I played) that I can sadly only think of a few off the top of my head ATM….
Intellivision era – Stampede (sort of Western)
PS2 era – RD Revolver
PS2 – Gun
PS2 – The Last Bounty Hunter (a DVD, but still PS2 playable)
PS3 – RD Redemption
