If you know your video game history, you know all about Postal .
Much like Grand Theft Auto , it got all sorts of negative backlash concerning its premise, which is essentially all-out mayhem and death for the sake of mayhem and death.
Well, they're redoing the old 1997 classic and as developer Running With Scissors just announced, it's headed to PC and Mac this spring, and will land on PlayStation 4 later in the year. This will be the first time any Postal game has appeared on a console, by the way. It's called Postal Redux and in addition to the obvious technical updates, we get a brand new Rampage Mode, which rewards players for racking up multipliers for consecutive kills.
As the team said in a statement:
"Postal Redux will maintain the elements that made the original Postal world-renowned. The grim art style, frightening ambiance, the omnipresent 'demonic voice,' and the marching band will be faithfully recreated in this modern day take on a title which became a symbol for free speech in gaming."
They added that this new project is a "love letter" to the fans. So, fans, whaddya think? Happy to see Postal return?

Never heard of the game until now and I had to check when it released and it was 1997… which makes complete sense.
The game genuinely looks like a lot of fun. Perfect game to jump into when you're tired of all of the open world games.
The more macabre the better, but it's a shame it's a top down only game or else I really would've liked it.
Wow, I know this is an update, but it looks so much like my memory of the game. I used to play this for hours back in the day. I hope they do it justice.
