Report: The Division Open Beta Slated For Later This Month

Not everyone will get into the closed beta for Tom Clancy's The Division . See, that's why it's "closed."

And while Ubisoft has extended the test for another 24 hours (it will run through February 2 now), lots of waitlisted players might still be left out in the cold.

But have no fear because it seems the publisher is prepping an open beta for the anticipated tactical multiplayer shooter. According to Eurogamer citing Xbox Italy's Facebook page, an open test will run February 16-21. The image that leaked this info has been removed but you can still see it through the link. It also said that Xbox One players will get into the beta one day early, as they did with the closed test.

If accurate, it means everyone is eligible to dive in later this month (though you might have had to pre-order, or something). The closed beta has been immensely popular so expect the open beta to be jam-packed with intrigued gamers. We'll let you know if and when Ubisoft makes this official.

That's good to hear, was almost certainly need with the God mode/Invisible bug that was discovered. Weapon balancing also needs to be tweaked a bit more shotguns got nerfed far to hard from the Alpha and became borderline useless in PVP while LMG's are a bit better but could still use some work and SMG's are still lost somewhere in the middle of things. Assault Rifles are far more usable ow though.

Not fond of the game. Dark zone was populated by aholes. Help people out and they just shoot your right after because they see you got something. I know that's what they told the area was about but drops are already random and they can get stolen any time especially when extracting. So naturally those aholes would just camp those extraction points or entrances to buy the better gear and just keep doing that. Imagine how that would be on an open beta or actual game. They should have permanent markers on them showing that they do go for other players along with rogue status for recent kills. Helping people only to get shot isn't fun so I'll pass on this game. Game just isn't for me. Random loot already annoys me so that along with ahole community that can easily take your new gear, money, and lower your rank isn't worth the time and headaches.

Also, phone auto correct can just burn in hell, lol
