If you're a hardcore fan of the acclaimed Dark Souls series, this will definitely appeal to you.
Titan Comics has announced a new comic book series based on From Software's action/RPG franchise, and the first issue will arrive in April.
The series will feature new stories in the Dark Souls universe – not merely narrative adaptations of the game stories – and George Mann (known for the "Doctor Who" novels) will be penning these comics. Alan Quah, who produced the art for "Godzilla: Awakening," will handle the drawing duties. Said Mann:
"Dark Souls has a rich, original universe that's just begging to be explored in comics, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to delve in and tell some new stories within it. It's a real thrill to be able to contribute to the mythology of the Hollows and their world."
The first comic will be ready before the anticipated Dark Souls III launches on April 12. The upcoming new entry will feature fresh Battle Arts , and creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is on record saying that DSIII represents a "turning point" for the franchise.
