You probably know The Witness will be a masterful and unique puzzle game.
But you might not realize that it has some serious star power as well.
As Braid designer and Thekla president Jonathan Blow announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the voice acting will be awesome .
And that's because Blow got all sorts of great people, including Ashley Johnson (Ellie in The Last Of Us ), Phil LaMarr (Vamp in the Metal Gear Solid games and Sir Lucan in The Order: 1886 ), and Terra Deva, a hit musician well-known for the popular song, "At Night." The Witness does use audio logs, which may sound familiar, but they're being utilized in a "highly non-traditional way." So says Blow:
"When you first encounter them you won't find much in the way of answers. But, if you keep looking, you will eventually be able to piece together what's going on."
Okay, it doesn't sound that "non-traditional." But anyway, Blow adds that the game's narrative is subtle and players will have to read between the lines in order to figure out the core plot. Obviously, the emphasis will be squarely on the gameplay, which makes sense. The game is said to offer around 20-25 hours of gameplay , and is supposed to center on the "natural learning process."
The Witness is scheduled to launch on January 26 for PlayStation 4 and PC.

Really interested in this game. Does anyone know if it will be a full $60? Did we ever have a confirmation on a physical version? I actually found an old copy of Myst around the house. Now all I need to do is fire up the old Packard Bell Windows 95.
Looks great!
