Supergiant’s Transistor Tops 1 Million

When a developer produces a top-quality product, it deserves recognition.

That's why we like to see great games like Transistor doing well at market; it sorta reaffirms our faith in the gaming community.

As spotted by a NeoGAF forumite , developer Supergiant Games has announced on their blog that their well-received title for PlayStation 4 and PC has sold over 1 million copies. That means the game sold another 400,000 copies since January, when the team announced Transistor had hit 600,000.

Said Supergiant in a statement:

"We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to stick together as a team and with any luck keep making the kinds of games that resonate with you for a long time to come."

For the record, the studio's first game, the critically acclaimed Bastion , sold a whopping 3 million copies. We say you should definitely play both.

I usually attribute the opened ended story and unfulfilled plot to lack or resources and ambition, but in Transistor's case it's alright. The ambiguous unexplained narrative leaves it up to me to find the deeper point. Maybe it's the cyberpunk / water color effect graphics that make it okay with me, not sure.
