DICE Team Members Shifting Their Focus To Next Battlefield

Well, Star Wars: Battlefront is out the door and while DICE will still support it into 2016, part of the team has shifted their focus to a new project.

And that's Battlefield 5 .

Development director Dan Vanderlind took to Twitter to offer a quick studio update, saying a part of the Battlefront team will remain intact to support DLC, but others – including himself – will start working on the next Battlefield entry.

The last installment was Battlefield: Hardline , which shipped earlier this year. That one introduced a new theme (players assumed the role of police SWAT members) but EA has previously confirmed that the next Battlefield would return to its military roots.

Let's just hope the game is a lot cleaner than Battlefield 4 , which was riddled with online issues for a very long time.

I love me some Battlefield!
I actually still play BF4 now and then. It's still fun. I hope EA would just give out all the DLC maps for free so there are more people playing them.
As it stands, only the original maps are being played with full servers…
