In the spirit of the holidays, you might consider giving to those who actually need your help.
For the third year in a row, mega retailer GameStop has partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help raise money and awareness for childhood cancer.
It's their annual Thanks and Giving campaign and thus far, it has managed to raise over $1.5 million for cancer research and treatment programs. This year, their goal is to raise over $1 million before the season is over. The campaign begins tomorrow, November 1 and will run through December 31; customers can make donations at GameStop locations all around the country, or at the company's non-gaming stores like Simply Mac, Spring Mobile AT&T and the new ThinkGeek store in orlando.
If you donate $1 or more, you will receive Triple PowerUp Rewards points, along with a 10 percent trade-in credit for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games, and a 25 percent discount on Skin-It sleeve designs. You can also donate via the retailer's website .
