As if you needed more incentive to pick up Fallout 4 in November.
But if you're especially interested in the nuts and bolts of game development, you'll really love the latest two Fallout 4 videos published by Bethesda.
They go deep behind-the-scenes and provide viewers with great comments and insight from game director Todd Howard, lead designer Emil Pagliarulo, artist Istvan Pely and other team members. In the first part, they talk about the game length (said to be as long as 400 hours ), why they chose the location – Boston – and how they designed that post-apocalyptic world.
In Part 2, they move on to the decision Bethesda made to give the protagonists voices, which is a critical element of the story. The team ultimately recorded over 13,000 lines of dialogue, so you know the narrative will be quite involved. Well, it should be, at any rate.
Fallout 4 is set to launch on November 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC; if you're interested, there's also a $30 Season Pass .
