Developer Rocksteady Studios delivered this year's excellent Batman: Arkham Knight , but will it be their final Caped Crusader effort? We think they could try new things .
But either way, publisher Warner Bros. wants everyone to understand that Batman still has a bright future in video games.
Gaming boss Ames Kirshen tells the PlayStation Blog that the IP is "one of the cornerstones for Warner Bros." and the Arkham series finally allowed them to "realize the full potentail of the character." Kirshen added:
"We don't have anything to talk about at this time [regarding future Batman games], but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman."
Warner Bros. could tap one of their internal studios, like NetherRealm ( Mortal Kombat , Injustice: Gods Among Us ) or TT Games ( LEGO Batman ) if they wish. But the point is, we will once again see Batman…even if it might be a very different production than anything we've seen in the stellar Arkham series. For better or for worse, we don't know…
Let me translate that for ya: We're going to milk this until it keels over dead, then we'll beat it a few times to see if we can get some more.
yup thats all i saw in his statement.
I still want to see a sequel to Arkham Origins from WBM.
I'd like to see Rocksteady do another FPS, Urban Chaos: Riot Response was awesome.
That or a stealth game similar to Splinter Cell.
Batman game is done for now, leave it for a while won't hurt.
There is always a reboot these day
