We can stop calling it Project Morpheus now.
At long last, Sony has officially branded their virtual reality initiative for PlayStation 4. As announced during the Tokyo Game Show, it's PlayStation VR.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Atsushi Morita explains the reasoning behind the name, which may seem a little plain the surface. Well, it is, but it conveys the message Sony wants; as the company said in a post-announcement statement:
"The name ‘PlayStation VR’ not only directly expresses an entirely new experience from PlayStation that allows players to feel as if they are physically inside the virtual world of a game. [The name] also reflects our hopes that we want our users to feel a sense of familiarity as they enjoy this amazing experience."
Unfortunately, we still don't have a date for the device, but Sony says they're still "refining the hardware from various aspects." All we know is that it should be available during the first half of 2016, and there could be around 20 titles at launch.
You planning to leap aboard the VR revolution this generation?
I have no interest in VR. My eyes work hard enough throughout the day.

Simple, to the point. Follows all the other stuff that HAMMERS the name Playstation into it.
Now the question is, whose going to take the blue pill or the red pill.
Still think Morpheus was a sweet name.
I agree!
