PSXE Poll Update: Sony Could Indeed Outsell Xbox One In US

Microsoft's Xbox has owned the US video game market in terms of hardware sales. Sony wins in most every other region on earth, but Xbox often has a stranglehold on US consumers.

However, there's no denying that Microsoft bungled the Xbox One unveiling pretty badly, and we wanted to know if that could have a long-lasting impact. In our recent poll, we asked if such a blunder was big enough to allow Sony's PlayStation 4 to actually outsell the new Xbox in this country. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the majority of those who voted said it could – and perhaps will – happen.

Of course, we still have to get through E3 next week. Microsoft could still have one hell of a show and win back a lot of gamers. They've still got plenty of time before the new hardware launch this fall, so MS should be able to rebuild the dike. If they don't, though, and Sony continues to prove that they have the ultimate gaming machine, well…who knows what could happen? This week, we're a little worried that so many people have seemingly forgotten about Capcom's Remember Me .

What are your expectations?

Given your avatar at the moment, I'd have thought you'd go with *Final Heaven*.

I saw on a website that I goggled but don't remember the name, on the site they mentioned out of 400,000 guests/members living in the US, close to 75% would choose the PS4.

MS has to turn things around at E3, and even that might not help them much. Sony had the gaming press hate them right out of the gate with PS3 and that hate pretty much dominated the conversation for 5 years. Otherwise level-headed people still believed the PS3 had no compelling games for a long time. If 360 fanboys like IGN and Kotaku are against MS the XBone will be in trouble.

Microsoft's PR man says they will "kill Sony" at E3, so Sony better bring their A game and lots of AAA games. This one is for all the marbles and first impressions matter. Personally I hope MS shows up and spends an hour showing off their TV apps.

I haven't forgotten Remember Me, I want it. My expectations are a good foundation for an innovative franchise with a strong female protagonist.

If it turns out to be true, oh man … loved Bloody Roar 2 on the PS1, all of them on the PS2 were meh, can't believe we didn't get a PS3 title … a PS4 reboot with some semblance of a story(unlike the PS2 games, which were horrible in that aspect)would be truly great.

Remember Me, well I need to feel the combat system to form an opinion I watched the kid Xmas boss battle… this look very Suda51'esque xD.

The music sounds like a 9/10 that's the only opinion I have at the moment.

hardly surprising.
people are just too f*cking impatient!
once remedy comes out and shows off their new game quantum break everyone will forget whatever they were whinging blue in the face for.

remember me looks allot like tomb raider.
a beautiful world, stunning atmosphere, but let down by faceless characters, a non existent story, a non existent back story, and very thin and basic combat.
neo paris looks stunning, but this is a game not a painting!
it has to be fun to play, and it has to have a compelling interesting story to suck people in.
and that, like so many games this gen, is where people will be left hanging.

sigh.
why is it so much to ask for a little character development, compelling companions, and a decent plot and back story?

If MS go into E3 pressuring Infinity Ward to give them some COD footage and that's their only game plan – showing a game every platform will have – then goodbye Xbox – game over.
If they pull real exclusives (not kiddie connect crap) from the bag – for example the new Respawn Entertainment IP, an exciting new Halo and Gears of War – then it could very well be 'Game On'.
