Sony Not Ready To Talk About Pricing For Project Morpheus

Everyone wants to know: How much will Project Morpheus cost?

But unfortunately, Sony says it's just "too early" to talk about a price point for their new virtual reality initiative. In speaking to GamesIndustry International , Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida explained:

"We are talking about launching next year so typically we don't talk about pricing one year ahead of time. I think we announced the price of PS4 at E3 the year of the launch so that's five months before the launch. So it's too early.

It's not like we are waiting for Oculus to announce their price. We still have work to do to know exactly the cost of goods and so on."

Previously, the company said they want to release Morpheus at the lowest possible price. The VR unit is set to launch for PlayStation 4 in the first half of 2016 and as for the competition, Oculus has already said it'll cost you about $1,500 for an "all-in" Rift experience. That price includes the headset itself and a capable PC.

What price do you think would be reasonable for Project Morpheus?

To be honest I'm more worried about the quality than the price. The system requirements for Oculus is extremely high. If that is what it takes for vr to be good I am worried that the PS4 simply isn't strong enough.
