Ben-DutkaGeez, this Kickstarter might raise like a billion dollars.
Shenmue followrs have been pining for a third entry for a very long time and now, it looks as if they might get it.
During Sony's E3 press briefing, they announced the emergence of a new Kickstarter campaign for Shenmue III . Why do they need to raise money for this bad boy? Well, obviously because they need it; Sega isn't about to fund such a project, or so we assume. It doesn't really matter, though, because given the sheer amount of fan support for this, it's bound to be funded.
Guess we'll start seeing plenty of hype for this one, and it'll be interesting to see a trailer for the project, if they've got one. How much would you be willing to contribute?

Seriously this is a dream come true.
Oh man, it's still a longshot. The games never grossed much even though the fans are rabid. I really hope it happens though, cept no Dreamcast is weird.
edit: hey if it's just the old engine then they could release it for dreamcast.

I am hoping with news on Shenmue III surfacing they release an HD bundle of Shnemue I and II. I'd buy those in a heartbeat.
@Kevin, no doubt they'll re-release the first two since so many people have never played them (especially 2 — how many people even had an original XBox, let alone a copy of that game???) Which is great, because it's a great series. Lots of nuance, patient, quiet at times, just *cool.* It's from an era where there was a lot more experimentation in mainstream video games. I miss that sense of adventure.

This just after the Final Fantasy VII Remake, I say I was squealing at 3am in the morning but I don't care it was sensational!
One thing though, I want a physical copy of Shenmue 3 for PS4, they're offering a PC version but not PS4, give me that and I'll support it 100%
Within 9 hours they reached their goal,so the console exclusive[also on pc]for ps4 can begin!
Fantastic,another great game comes to the ps4.
Now there are 2 game's left that i want….half life 3 and soulreaver,don't know but i have a feeling that they will never be made,but who knows….

Never played these games, believe it or not.
Do they stand the test of time to give it a spin on the PSP?
far as I know they aren't on that system. Dreamcast and then the first Xbox got part 2 as well.
That's probably why I didn't play them.
