The farther we get from the previous generation, the less likely new games will be produced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
So, it shouldn't be too surprising to hear that the freshly announced Fallout 4 won't be coming to last-gen consoles.
Bethesda global community manager Matt Grandstaff confirmed as much in a recent NeoGAF thread , saying "the stuff we're doing will never work there." If that's not enough incentive to get you to dive into the new generation, maybe more games need to be created only for PS4 and Xbox One. We have heard many developers say their new visions can't be realized with the older hardware.
Fallout 4 doesn't yet have a release date but we may get one at E3. Even if we don't get an exact launch date, we could use an estimated release window…

Of course. While they're at it, just make it exclusive for PC for no compromises.
The next wave of GPUs are only a year away around September.
So it's will not work on my ps2 then, DAMMIT!!
Thank god at least the Ps4 version wont be hold back by the Ps3 version
Smart move.
well its not really surprising the only games that might go to last gen would be like COD/battlefield/AC etc. yeah and that fact that they wont work on the old hardware is not at all a surprise
happy gaming
