We all assumed it was coming at some point, right?
Sony has announced the collection fans have all been waiting for: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection , which will launch on October 9 for PlayStation 4.
As you might expect, this package will include Uncharted: Drake's Fortune , Uncharted 2: Among Thieves , and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception . Bluepoint Games is working on the compilation and they've got a solid history of issuing remastered releases. They'll bring us 1080p and 60 frames per second for each of the three titles, and we'll enjoy "better lighting, textures, and models." Plus, we'll get a Photo Mode and new Trophies.
Pre-ordering this bad boy nets you the Nathan Drake Pack, which boasts single-player skins of iconic Drake outfits and a couple awesome Golden weapons. You'll even get the Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme. Just buying the collection will give you exclusive access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End but we're not sure when that will be just yet. Maybe end of 2015…?
Yep, it's an obvious must for all avid fans of the franchise!
I know a lot of people are increasingly annoyed by HD remasters, and understandably so. Me, I just love having the option to buy definitive versions of the games I love for very fair prices. So yeah, count me in for this one.
Though I'll add: surprised and disappointed there's no HD version of Golden Abyss here. An underrated and largely unplayed Uncharted game, since it's only existed on Vita so far.
Totally agree about Golden Abyss, such a missed opportunity.
But it this sells well we might see it as a stand alone Remaster…
This is great.
Now suddenly the GoW3 remaster for $40 seems like an even worse deal.
I wonder if Sony will offer the titles individually on PSN for like 20-25 a piece.
GOWIII Remaster was a bad deal to begin with.
Aside from updated graphic and a photo mode there's pretty much nothing new for $40.
im extremely surprised the gow3 remaster doesnt include ascension, if it was size that was the issue for one disc, i would have included two discs and both ps3 games for that price. I mean the ps3 version can be had for maybe 10 bucks? what is the ps4 version giving me photo mode? come on…
New trophies, I suppose that means different achievements from the PS3 games?

Maybe these trophies reward you with PSN store credit, making you feel like a real treasure hunter =p
HA, if only.
lol
Well, I guess I can unify my trophies for the Uncharted series on PS4…
Yeah, let's rejoice and buy the games we've already purchased once again. Great deal!
… But just to play devil's advocate here: Let's keep in mind that in fact it's a great share of PS4 owners whom the PS4 is their first Playstation. I'd say this release is for them, first and foremost.
But yeah… Woohoo!
Not.
You might also consider fans who simply want the best versions of their favorite games in their collections.

Wow, bad day Boom? This is a great release and is money in the bank for Sony. Your not being forced to buy it. Millions of X360 gamers made the switch this current gen to PS4. I, like million of other Playstation gamers adore Uncharted. Like Ben said, we want to own and play the best versions of an outstanding franchise. Not to mention according to the PSBlog there may be improvements and additions. Which could mean to game play or something else:
"but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies."
Bluepoint is handling the development so no ND resources being deferred from Uncharted 4. Really don't understand yours and many others hate for Remasters.
I can't think of any favourite game of mine I'd buy again just because of a minor facelift.
But that's all right! We are different and people can spend their money as they please. No problem. And like you say Crusader; It's money in the bank for Sony. Good for them.
Which Uncharted was your favourite? I can't wait for 60fps on all of them. I never finished the last two but am pumped now to play.
Beam doesn't like Uncharted. They are to linear for him.
Beam doesn't like Uncharted cause their stories are not of interest to him. If they were a movie he'd not go see it. And that becomes a problem when a game is as strictly directed as these games are.
Had Uncharted had a fantastic story set in a fantastic universe, it'd be a different matter. I'd still be annoyed by the insanely scripted set pieces, but at least I'd be engaged in the characters and their progress.
What universe is more fantastic than the beautiful slice of home we live in now?! 😀
Oh I'm sorry that you bought it.
Underdog: Hehe – I don't mean "universe" as in "space", but the world the story takes place in. Like the fantastic universe of Bioshock or Deux Ex!
Not that I have anything against space operas – not at all. 🙂
Unharted, to me, is nothing but a traditional teen-flick with very standard character gallery playing out a very traditional story taking place in very traditional adventure locations. It's as mainstream as it is possible to get.

Cant wait though i hope it aint as bad as the halo collection on the xbox one though uncharted 2 and 3 wont have mulitiplayer so thts good.
The only thing I hated about this franchise was that you had to beat it once before being allowed to attempt the hardest difficulty.
If that's not changed, I can't see me buying these. I already have saves on PS3 that allow me to play on the hardest difficulty if I choose to play it again.
UNLESS, they allow for transferred saves? That'd be nice.
I'll never understand why people complain about remastered editions of games, it's not like the developer is forcing you to buy it. Personally I greatly appreciate remastered edition because there are a lot of games (such as Uncharted and Last of Us) that I want to replay, however I don't want my living room full of consoles that I use maybe once a year.
I can't wait to revisit the Uncharted series, I only wish they were porting Golden Abyss to the PS4 as well. While it's definitely the worst of the series it was still a lot of fun especially for a Vita game.
I think it's less about hating remasters as it is gamers who want to play something new when they feel there aren't enough new games would rather see announcements for new games and not old ones.

Temjin, I would agree with that statement but the fact is there are plenty of new games, rather AAA or Indie, they are flooding in at a rate that continually increases with each generation. The sad fact is there is a large pool of gamers that having nothing but games to entertain them, thus they complain about anything and everything because their lives are unsatisfactory, not the games that have been made for them.
The fact is that games today are better than the games of yesterday, the craftsman ship, the artistic qualities, the enigmatic approach have all advanced in outstanding ways, yet we as gamers fail to realize this all too often, constaly harping back to the "good" ol days that really weren't all that good.
I love video games, I love discussing video games, it's a hobby that I'm passionate about however if it was my only hobby I would be a very sad individual.
Is there any mention of the multiplayer being included?
All the maps from both games would be epic!
Multiplayer WILL NOT be included
Dont know why im being thumbed down by stating facts. Its been reported on other sites that the collection will not have mulitiplayer.
This is wonderful news! So happy about this. Going to get this D1. Just about to get my Platinum for Uncharted Drake's Fortune so I will probably finish that off and just have a fun play through with the PS4 version. Chances are we'll have to beat the game once to unlock the hardest difficulty. Who knows, maybe they'll change that. It's great the Bluepoint is doing the development so ND doesn't have to defer resources to this project. This is just so much win/win for Sony! So, Fall 2015 just got even more brutal to wait for. Thanks ND, Sony and Bluepoint for all your hard work!
With all these collections for the PS4, I wonder if we'll get Resistance collection as well.
That's the only franchise I didn't have time for before.
A remaster of the Resistance games seems more and more likely at this rate, if they're remastering garbage like Beyond Two Souls then any game is a candidate for the remaster treatment these days.
I wouldn't mind buying these remasters as long as they were to also be compatible with the next gen, if there is one.
A definite must-buy for ND!!! (doesn't it bother anyone that ND could stand for Nathan Drake and Naughty Dog at the same time? xD)
… still waiting for the FFVII remake … 🙁
Finally we can play Uncharted in 60fps, although it's just a remastered game…
I really hope they fix the grenade throws in drake's fortune. I can't get the platinum because it was so unplayable.
I could be wrong but these games look awfully familiar….
If only ND can remaster their crash bandicoot games.
well i guess alot of people will buy it just for the mutliplayer beta but i looks good nun the less
happy gaming
Eh, don't need this collection. I mean, I wanted it originally, since I've never played a single Uncharted game outside of Golden Abyss for the Vita… but, now that Uncharted 1 through 3 are available on PS Now, I don't see a point in buying a retail collection.
Especially when PS Now has multiplayer.
i love the fact theyre doing this, however im pissed i have to buy yet again. I got them all in perfect condition for ps3, now i have to buy again to have the definitive set? fuck that sucks, i think anyone that has the trilogy already for ps3 should get the ps4 half off or even 75% off.
Perhaps gamestop will do something like they did with the last of us, trade in ps3 version for half off ps4 version. I guess i wouldnt mind that too much.
Yeah, let's rejoice and buy the games we've already purchased once again. Great deal!
