After a long wait, we finally have a new launch date for one of the most anticipated games of the generation.
Planetside 2 has been out on PC since 2012 but it has taken a while to grace the PlayStation 4. Now, Sony has announced that the sci-fi MMOFPS will release for PS4 on June 23.
Daybreak Game Company director of development Andy Sites says they've "put a lot of effort into streamlining and improving the feature set." The result should be "the ultimate massive-scale, FPS gaming experience," provided everything goes smoothly. Sites added that PS4 players will enjoy some unique features, such as the new battle map, Koltyr. Down the road, we can look forward to "frequent game updates" and "deeper features."
To celebrate the news, we've tossed up a new preview ; check it out if you're interested.

Beta had some draw distance issues and occasional button glitching last I played but besides that stability wise it ran flawlessly.
I'm looking forward to this. Big maps and hundreds of players. Could be epic in the right circumstances.
Just hope the lag is acceptable from Australia.
Exaggerating a bit … " one of the most anticipated games of the generation " .
