The list of glitches and bugs in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was pretty hefty upon launch, even though developer CD Projekt Red has been working to fix the issues.
We wanted to know how your copy of the game was running and according to our recent poll, most of you are only experiencing a few minor issues here and there.
Obviously, the major game-crashing bugs are much rarer than the little – often comedic – hang-ups that frequently pop up in ambitious open-world games. Most understand this, even if they've had bad experiences with the game. Besides, by the time another month passes, The Witcher 3 will be running significantly better thanks to multiple patches an updates.
But is it worthy of Game of the Year? Of course, we're not even halfway through 2015 yet but when something this huge arrives, you have to assume it's a contender. Or, maybe you think it's an automatic lock…or not a contender at all. Let us know.

I still haven't purchased a copy yet due to the reports of the bugs and glitches infecting some copies which is why i have held back on buying it.
Any word on how long it will be before they release a patch that irons out most of these little errors? And are they definitely releasing a patch? Bethesda didn't give two shites when Skyrim and Fallout got the filthy end of the deal with their PS3 versions.
Part of me just want's to go out and buy it right now but still on the fence unless they will be definitely releasing a patch that smooths things out abit.
I will be reading this comment section with a keen eye as i think most of you already have the game. It will be interesting to see how some peoples versions to differ to others when it comes to minor glitches or game breaking glitches.

CD Prjekt Red is the complete opposite of Bethesda (Skyrim, Fallout) they care about their customers like moms to their babies. Which is shocking in this day and age.
The game will likely be repaired via various patches rather than one big one, I've already seen a few. But there's no reason to wait due to the issues. What Ben had in his review isn't the norm, it already runs better than most games.
I wasn't aware of CD Projekt Red's record when it came to patches and fixes so it's good to know that they don't drink their milk from the same nipple as Bethesda does.
I am now halfway off the fence about grabbing The Witcher this week from this info alone so thanks for that World 😉
Yes, definitely GoY material. I have only had 1 bug and that was my first card game freezing. No problems whatsoever since. Still no problem with text size.
I won my first card game, now I'm scared to play anymore.
Lol, me to world.
I have had zero bugs so far except for one time I couldn't get my horse to sprint so I got off got back on and it fixed.
Its a shame that people are having wildly different experiences in the glitch and bug department.
I knew I shouldn't have said anything. Right after commenting on not yet noticing any bugs I noticed the first innkeeper disappeared, who sells some good gwent cards I had yet to buy.
Supposedly that's been patched with a replacement merchant, then I noticed a merchant icon with no merchant anywhere. Then the next day it froze so badly the only way I could turn it off was by unplugging it.
Then I'm doing the Gangs of Novigrad quest and a terrible bug made it my first failed quest.
The reason? It auto-fails every time a simultaneous quest in the exact same location was updated.
I hope that one gets patched by the time I'm done my Death March play-through so I can get everything next time.

Hey Ben, with so many big games releasing with big bugs at launch have you thought of doing a "how they play now" type feature every so often where you post a brief update on how a few of the buggiest games are playing after a few months of patches? Or perhaps that could be a community update thing? I don't know, just an idea.
Anyways, I think the game is definitely a contender with a couple of the big games being delayed, but not a lock. I've experienced only minor issues so far but they definitely have to be taken into consideration. Also MGSV looks like it'll be pretty tough to beat.
WHY is there no money in this game!!!!!! I can't even afford a haircut after multiple quests. It's awful.
Ahem, yeah it's Game of the Year right behind The Order: 1886 🙂
I'm still not feeling the game personally, but it's a great time passer.
I really only use money to repair. I collect everything else.
Not played it yet, but the Witcher 3 certainly seems to be favourite at the moment.
However, loved my 70 hours in Bloodborne so that would be my GOTY for now. Tight combat, brilliant boss fights, supreme sense of achievement, beautifully interlinked environments and atmosphere dripping off the walls.
The Order 1886 looked pretty but was meh gameplay wise.
MGSV may be the 2015 late challenger but it might be too open world to get the top spot.
