Another incentive for being a PlayStation Plus member!
Sony has revealed a new promotion called PS Plus Specials that offers discounts on PSN games and various DLC. You only get access to these discounts if you're a member, obviously.
This is likely in response to Microsoft's Deals With Gold promotions, where Gold subscribers get exclusive deals on Xbox stuff. We just don't know if the PlayStation Plus Specials will be offered every week, like Deals With Gold. Anyway, the first sale is now going on and it includes games across PS4, PS3 and Vita.
Featured titles: Bloodborne ($48), Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin ($48), and Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk ($28). For the full list, click here . Yes, another good reason to join the Plus club.
We're also getting MGS Ground Zeroes for FREEEEEEEeeee next week. I knew it would happen too!
Eventually Konami would want the title to be a promo tool for MGSV.
yes i saw this coming also and decided to wait to try it. now i will have spent no $$ to have played this demo for the full game.
Hope you enjoy it… I bought both PS3 & PS4 versions and still have no regrets 🙂 I will be buying the PS4 version of The Phantom Pain only though. Seeing the difference between GZ on PS3 & PS4 on your TV really is quite striking.
Thanks God I skipped mgs ground zero, and now we get it for free. Love you Sony…
I remember ur reply back then Temjin001 when MGS: GZ was $6.80 on flash sale, u got ur wish I guess hehe.

Very happy that the holdouts will get a chance to play MGS Ground Zeroes now. The ridiculous launch price aside, it's a terrific experience. I'll definitely play through it at least once or twice more before The Phantom Pain comes out. Looking forward to your reax, Temjin and World!
Ha yea Achillia I always felt it was coming free through Plus before MGSV would launch so I held out. Though I will say I did in fact rent the game as part of Gamefly and power played it through once already. This Plus offering gives me the opportunity to go through again.
Thanks Telly. Though I think World hasn't been one for MGS games, so you might not see his thoughts.
Ground Zeroes is excellent. Well worth your time!
I don't get it… don't we already get further discounts on sales already? Or are these permanent further discounts for PS+ members not just when PSN has a sale.
Yeah, we did. I don't get it either.
well ps plus is good and those deals are half shabby too and its great on the fact that it on all three playstation platfrom thats really great value
happy gaming
Games listed can be found cheaper elsewhere like Amazon so it aint much of a sale
… in the meantime Bloodborne is listed at £35.56 on Amazon.
No, this is not a good reason to join the Plus club. Seriously, we need to stop defending that Plus thing. It's a tax on console owners, that's what it is.

We've been brainwashed.
Besides tax never gives you games and discounts back.
Yep. I've really come around on this issue, Beamboom. There should not be a paywall for online gameplay on games you already purchased. Period. That's a stark contrast to PCs that is only going to get more attention moving forward.
The unfortunate truth though, is that I think that PS Plus and paywalls like it will only get phased on when monthly subscription "services" will be pushed hard on us all… at least, that's what looks likely…
Telly's right. Although, I think the big thing holding it back is terrible North American infrastructure that still leaves a huge number of consumers without reliable high speed internet connections. It sucks in both Canada and the US.
Sony's exclusives are the only reason I don't ditch console gaming altogether. Well, in that scenario I'd probably still get a Nintendo platform for family friendly entertainment.

Temjin, tax do by their definition return plenty back: An army, legal system, health care, schools etc are usually founded by tax payers money. And this *is* a console tax that founds… Uhm… Well, not sure exactly, but not much imo. A rental on games we usually have bought long ago anyway, or never wanted to play in the first place? Oh and some "free" icons and stuff.
The tax payer should not accept this so unreservedly.
