Now, according to Dengeki Online (as translated by GameSpot ), Capcom has announced Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster , a high-def re-imagining of the 2002 GameCube exclusive.
The game is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and is set for an early 2016 release in Japan. There's no way of knowing just yet if the title will come West. If you're unfamiliar, Resident Evil Zero is a prequel; it takes place before the events of the original RE adventure. Featuring protagonists Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers, players can switch between the two characters as they battle a viral outbreak.
Early this year, Capcom released the acclaimed Resident Evil HD Remaster and as it sold very well, it's no surprise to see the company pursue another overhaul/update project. You excited?

The evil within was a great game,but was it scary?
imo it was an action game[with some stealth] in a horror setting,i want horror gameplay,and that's hard to find these day's

Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous! There is no valid reason to why this as not included in the release of the Resident Evil 1 remake on PS4, just about every other series that has had a HD re-release has been in compilation to other games within the series. There is no reason what so ever that Resident Evil 1 & 0 were not bundled together to begin with. RE remake was already too much on the UK PS store to make it a fair deal. Utterly furious! Capcom owe everyone who bought RE remake an apology in giving them RE0 free or at the very least discounted.
I don't know what the price tag was in the UK, but in the US it was I believe $14.99. I haven't bought any remasters with multiple titles for less than $14.99. Frankly, if they would have released them both together for $30, I would have thought it was a great deal. I'm still hoping that they give RE2 the remake treatment, and I'll gladly pay them $14.99 for it as well.
And if anyone bought RE thinking that they would be owed a release of a future game for that purchase they are an entitled idiot.
Well in the UK it is a lot more.. I got Final Fantasy X/X-2 for the same price at launch. Pretty much every HD re-release before this which had cmpanion titles were released together (Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, Prince of Persia etc.). Sure you have games like Okami, but that was a stand alone title. We all knew this was going to happen as both games we re-released on Wii already. It never made sense to re-release a HD rendition of RE Remake and not RE0. So I find it just incredibly insulting that they made every fork out a lot of money for half product – Yes I know it is a full game, but as a HD release it should not have gone without RE0.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it seems like you're saying that it was okay to charge a certain amount if they weren't going to release RE0, but since they are suddenly the RE remake should have been cheaper – and that those who purchased RE are somehow owed something more because they chose to willingly pay what Capcom asked for the game.
If all we're going to get this gen is remakes and remasters, let's at least go back to the PS1 era and redo some games that really deserve it. I just went through MediEvil on my PSP again yesterday, and would love to see a proper update to that franchise (no Resurrection does not count, what a sloppy installment in the series).
Medievil was not a great game to begin with. I would rather take the psp version instead of the original.

never played it on gamecube even though i still have RE1 and RE 4 on gamecube and love them. hope it comes to the US quickly. always curious about RE Zero and i hope to be able to play it on PS4
