FFX/X-2 HD Remaster Hits PS4 Today With Dynamic Theme

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a must for fans of the franchise.

But if you haven't played it yet, or you've been holding off on it until the PlayStation 4 version comes out, now's the time to act.

As the PlayStation Blog reminds us, the excellent compilation arrives on Sony's latest console today. Also, if you have the PS3 or Vita version, don't forget that the save data transfers between all three platforms. And, to spruce up your PS4, there's a new dynamic PS4 theme called "To Zanarkand." FFX followers will love it; it retails for $3.49 and it's worth it…'cuz it's so damn beautiful.

These two classic RPGs have never looked better!

Platinumed Final Fantasy X at 135 hours… I can't justify buying this version so soon – The PS3 release is more than competent.

People are offering up organs for sale for a remake of FF6-9 and yet they usher out FFX and X2 …. again. I guess they think it's too risky.
It's funny though, Kojima mentioned that he didn't mind MGS being remade (I don't consider "The Twin Snakes" a remake, however some do), but then I thought, which develeoper has the cojones to take on that monster. Maybe the intimidation of re-creating these IPs that are held so sacrosanct to so many is a defining factor, preventing or more debilitating even the most seasoned of developers.

I think I remember reading somewhere about how much easier it is to remake and reskin a PS2 title. I'm assuming that's the reason… because it's the only one that could make sense.

Dangit… I already bought the PS3/Vita versions, so I can't justify buying it again 🙁

Should've waited…

Not again.. sigh.
I finished it on PS2, but somehow couldn't get into it again on my PSV. Guess I'm not that big fan of FFX after all.
Waiting for FF7 remake 😛
