Well, you didn't really expect it to launch this year, did you?
We know a sequel to Titanfall is in the works, and we know it's coming to multiple platforms. What we don't know is exactly when it will arrive.
And even though we still don't know, we at least have an update, courtesy of publisher Electronic Arts. During an earnings call yesterday, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said Titanfall 2 won't be out until the company's 2017 fiscal year, which means the game could fall anywhere between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on a holiday 2016 release but that's just a guess.
Developer Respawn Entertainment hasn't said much about the new project, besides saying they've "listened to feedback." That still doesn't mean we'll get a real campaign, though, as studio co-founder Vince Zampella says he thought Titanfall was fine the way it was, and don't forget that these guys are all about multiplayer (many originally came from Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward).
Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Oh, and the long-awaited Mirror's Edge sequel should be out in the first quarter of 2016, so expect to start seeing some info and media for that one.

i cant wait to see the side by side console comparison.
I want both, but I haven't been as excited for a game sequel as I am for Mirror's Edge 2 in a long, long time.
Agreed. Lot's of exciting stuff should be at E3. Also Beyond Good and Evil 2, but I'm starting to worry about that one. It's been in the dark too long.
