If you never picked up the Left Behind DLC for The Last Of Us , perhaps it's because you don't actually own Naughty Dog's masterful title.
Even so, you can still play the expansion. As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the Left Behind DLC will soon be available as a standalone experience on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
On May 12, even those who don't own the award-winning TLoU can snag Left Behind for $10. On that day, the price will actually be lower for the PS3 version; don't forget that The Last Of Us: Remastered on PS4 comes with the expansion. In Left Behind, the story focuses on Ellie and her friend Riley as they attempt to escape their boarding school. It's a fitting, compelling addition to the main story.
And Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer added:
"We realize that most of Naughty Dog fans will have probably already played The Last of Us and maybe even the Left Behind Add-on chapter. if you enjoyed the games, be sure to tell your friends that haven't played this great introduction to The Last of Us."
Lastly, a two-hour trial for the TLoU multiplayer mode Factions will be included with the Left Behind standalone title.
